I don't understand why the creator did not choose/thought about using a magnet to secure the neck piece on the hood. Anyway the figure is still amazing!

Probably cause there’s no good space for a magnet.

 

Why do you assume he did not? We have no proof. And most/all of us are not toy engineers. It could have had strong negatives that we aren’t aware of.

 

A quick assumption is paint scratching.

A second assumption is the rational engineers audibly stated “no one in their right mind will see this as a flaw or oversight.... let’s just fix the shoulders and ship this baby as soon as possible so HolyCulture can get it and love it.”

 

I think you meant, “So Holyculture and Prime of Shadows can get it and love it.”  

 

So all of us non-neck focused people can get really close and personal with our hounds

The G1 line finally has that cohesive quality that the BW guys are getting.

 

I guess it's only a problem in their neck of the woods.

 

I love the look of the re-done turn style figures but I’m just not sure if I need to buy them again since I have all of them from the original run.

 

Otherwise, the magnet would have been an attractive solution!

Wow that’s an excellent point and I wish you had brought this up earlier! Takara has already done the head on an armature and it worked fine. Of course there was another head underneath to keep the larger head in place. Oh well I have hope that it’s a non-issue in hand!

Here’s hoping they show Hound’s alt mode next to a Datsun at Wonderfest. It’s a bit concerning that they still haven’t shown him next to a carbot in alt mode. Even if it’s a little too large I’ll be ok with it. I think one of the reasons why all the versions of an MP Hound look huge in alt mode is because most of the car bots are all really low sports cars that are much shorter than the average car. The 280Z is the tallest alt mode I believe.
