I've been to my local Toys R Us quite often lately looking for it since it has been spotted and i have yet to see it anywhere..not even an empty location with a tag for it. On the website it is still listed as sold out. has it been officially released or is it still pending/ slowly coming out?! kind of bummed trying to find one in stores or on their site :[
you'll find one dont worry. maybe find out when your TRU usually gets/puts out their stock. sence i found out that info for my store its been worlds easier finding exclusives. good luck!
^haha your funny, i bet my $7 fort max that the same thing happens to him like what happened to Masterpiece Starscream, barely any were shipped out to stores, nobody knows what happened to that stock, hell, even Aaron Archer himself had to order one off ebay i already given up trying to get one because it is a TRU exclusive
Um don't most TRU exclusives end up on clogging shelfs? But who knows maybe Grimlock will be hard to find like Animated Arcee
They are out there. My recommendation is to check the sightings thread and talk to people near you or use the post in the junkion to see if someone will pick up one for you at cost.
Have some patience. I've already seen it where I live in stores (toledo ohio), and there are routinely things that seem to never show up here. If we've got it here there's a good chance it will be everywhere soon.
i'm thinking they may be waiting to put them out or haven't yet. whenever i go now the section for Transformers is just a mess..they had other anniversary/ exclusives in the past which is why this is weird..they had perceptor and insecticons.. i just don't know what they do with them because they never seem to sell and there will be maybe like 5-6 then suddenly just disappear..guess my Toys R Us isn't big for local Transformer fans..or my Wal-Mart or Target..because it's always the same ones every time i look XD
I wouldn't be too worried. My guess is that he will start appearing in abundance as we approach Christmas. I know that in the UK he is slated to be released around November, so hopefully you lot won't be eating up our allowance!
some of us didn't have money back then, i know i didn't, and heck, i still don't got the cash for him until this coming friday
My TRU in San Antonio Texas is moving soon, so they've slowed their incoming stock. No Grimlock or the new Animated exclusives, and they barely got a couple shipments of HftD and Generations in. Might be a similar situation for you? Luckily I got my Grimlock yesterday from ordering online the first day he appeared...
I don't know about your TRU, but mine gets weekly shipments every Thuresday. That's the day to be there. And it helps to be there before it opens so you can be first in the door. At my local TRU, there were five of us there waiting for the doors to open. Three of us wanted MP Grimlock and only two Grimlocks were available. The faster hands got lucky and I struck out. So you might want to see what day's your local TRU gets it's shipments and be there early!
Wow these threads are popping up fast, Seriously though he was just released and has not hit market saturation rate yet a little patience and persistence and checking the days your TRU get trucks is all ya need!
Saw one at my local TRU this morning right at opening time while I was looking for animated Rodimus and Ironhide. It wasn't there yesterday, so I can only imagine that they might have received only 1 in their shipment...unless someone got there in the first 10 minutes and bought the rest....?
I live in near three tru's in nw ohio and so far (as of last week) only one had him, as the other two didnt even have a spot or sticker for him yet, just give it time, he'll show up

I wonder when he'll be showing up in abundance and not just 2-3 at a time. I also hope the price goes down a bit and not more.
The price point seems fair to me when i picked his box up, LOVE his box btw, it has some amazing heftiness to it.
The best way to get any toy from TRU. especialy exclusives is to find out when they get their truck. Most TRU get it once a week and it is usually the same day. My TRU gets a truck every Friday morning, from what I understand they have to have all the stock from that truck on the floor by the time the store opens. If it is something crazy exclusive I would recommend being there when they open. There will be other people waiting for the store to open too so you won't feel like a total loser. Be patient with MP Grimlock, he will show up. My TRU got three in last week and I was lucky enough to get one when the doors opened. They got another shipment the following Friday and had 3 more Grimmys on the shelf when I dropped by after work at 5:00 pm. Almost made me feel silly for waiting the previous week but you never know. I think the $70 price tag will make this one a little easier to get. Also don't forget to use your local sightings boards as most members will be willing to give you a heads up if they see one on the shelf. Good luck and happy hunting, MP Grimmy is worth it.
Oh damn, when i went there was none, im still debating on getting him since i already dropped 130 on the takara version. I was thinking of keeping one in dino mode and the other in robot mode
