I feel like a bit of a douche now for paying $200 at BBTS for the Takara re-issue.

$60 i what the original MP Grimlock sold for 6 years ago. I have a sneaking suspicion that the price will be higher when it actually hits store shelves but surely not $200.

Fortunately for me $160 of the cost of MP-08 was store credit for some stuff that I sold to BBTS so I really only had to pay $40 out of pocket for him.

Wonder if they will go with only 1-3 at a store if any store gets them? Maybe they learned that he will sale and put out at least 10?

Meh, it has it's moments. ;)

As I recall, this was the original price of the first release before they bumped it up. But, be wary, knowing TRU, it will probably be bumped up by 10 or 20 either right before release, or not too long after. MP Prime was originally $99, and he went up to $129, I think after a few weeks. But if it stays this price, that would be excellent.

Before everyone jumps up and down on this $60 price tag, remember this is TRUs pattern.

If your lucky enough to get it at first week of release, it is $60. Second week it will $75-80. Seen this so many times.

My $99 prime which became $125 at TRU is a perfect example.

BTW, when is this thing due?

Would be great if this was the actual price for him. That said, for ten or even twenty more bucks, he'll still be worth it. I also don't think he'll be all that hard to find. A lot of collectors already own a MP Grimlock.

Already have a Takara and Hasbro version... don't need a third. Glad everyone is getting the chance to own it.

Hope it comes to the UK too. I think it will, seeing as Prime, Soundwave and Acid Storm all came to TRU UK in 2013 alone.

TRU UK have a pretty good record with not bumping up the price of MP's. They usually get discounted very early on and return to RRP just as they start to disappear.

I was right about the buy the Takara reissue then I had car issues I needed to fix. I guess the silver lining about my car is I'm gonna ended paying $60 for a figure I can go to the store and buy instead of buying a $200 figure from over seas. But getting my car fixed the total money spent is still about $200 :lol

I had been kicking myself that I missed this guy but now I'll have a shot! Plus, $60 might be worth it!

If you shelled out extra for the recent re-issue or one earlier it was prolly was a good idea anyways. This one looks "cheap" in comparison.
