For those of you that can read Japanese, could anyone translate what it says on Dinobot's description?

Where did you read that the paint is supposed to be fixed on the Hasbro version?

Different how? No one else seems to agree with you. Wishful thinking, perhaps?

    :rolleyes2

I highly recommend opening your eyes and actually looking at the two comparison pictures that 'Rodimus Pie' posted before mouthing off at him.

You'll find that it really helps a whole lot.

Those two photos are different- the robot mode is clearly in different poses.

Colourscheme differences aren't really that obvious to me though. And possibly just a lighting thing. XD

All those recent Hasbro Q&A things, specifically in regards to Cyclonus' lack of silver and Ironhide's blue face.

Except you also failed to point out the paint differences in the photos. Perhaps you should actually try looking at them. Both photos show the exact same figure. But hey, don't take my word for it; ask artiepants, protostar8 and Vangelus.

But the photos are different and that's all that that 'Rodimus Pie' was trying to say.
I think its just a misunderstanding on what he meant.

I never said the figure was different. That's the point. Takara takes their own photos. If the Takara paint scheme is going to be different, it would most likely be reflected here, right?

Now, I haven't seen these Hasbro Q&A's regarding Cyclonus. Not sure which site that's on. Here?

You may well be right, it may be the same exact figure. But that - as far as I can remember - would be a first for Takara.

Do you have those links, by any chance? I'm not doubting you, I just haven't seen them. :)

    EDIT: Nevermind. Found 'em!

Likely, but not a necessity. The fact that several of the photos are of resin prototypes and unpainted test shots shows they are not all finals, just enough to give retailers an idea, I assume. Cheetor and Hound don't appear to be changed from the Hasbro versions either here, far as I can tell.

Yeah, but dieing in general kinda sucks most of the time. :)

i like the grimlock, judging by the size of the other masterpieces, and judging by this picture, it makes me wonder, if this grimlock would look good with classics, since it is a HUGE trex after all, and a lot more, like he was in the toon, i'm impressed how ever, i am not impressed by the prices at bbts so far for this, for something that much, i need something more.

    and that is NOT electronics.

but the Mickimouse Prime thing, it looks great, makes me wonder, what disney characters will be the con's? maybe Pete as Megatron?

for Takara's first tf/crossovers, this looks pretty good. but i will wait on it to see the price and what not.

Sorry, I didn't read past page 10. Has anyone considered MP Grimlock's Dino mode to be articulated enough to pose in both classic (tripod) and contemporary (chicken) stances?

The head and legs pivot, yet the tail seems a new design. I not sure if it is capable of adjustment, but I would be surprised if Hastaktomy didn't take measures to deal with this fairly predictable issue.

Apologies if this was discussed in one of the 20 odd pages I skipped.

Edit: Yeah Nightflame has brought it up so far....no other takers?

yeah, this is such an early image (and for retailers only ~ it's a retailer catalog) I'd imagine this is just a different photo of the Hasbro testshot as a placeholder... but we should be seeing these guys in Nov or Dec hobby mags, so we'll know for sure soon enough...

I'd say there is a pretty good chance that Grimlock's transformation will be fairly different.

It looks like you'd transform him upside down, and if my eyes serve me well enough, the legs come from the back and fold down towards the dino head.

The only way I can see him not being transformed upside down is a pull out and rotate part, which Ik now they can do, but either way it doesn't look like it will follow the G1 transformation whatsoever. And my god did they ever do a good job on him in terms of his proportions, much better than they did with megatron and at least on par with the seekers.

Here's hoping for an MP-09 200 dollar Devastator and an MP-10 through MP-13 Dinobots (dear lord please dothis for me, I promise not to swear for at least an hour.)
