MPM only for me. Not enough space or money for all of them and I'm too young for G1 nostalgia (I collect G1 legends instead). Will buy every armada mp they make though.

It wasn't because there was no G1 MP figures that I bought the Beast Wars figures - I would have bought the Beast Wars stuff anyway.
I would in theory buy MPs from any of G1, including Victory and Zone, any of the Beast Wars seasons, any of the Japanese Beast shows, any of the reboots like RiD Animated Prime etc, almost anything if they have cool designs I like - I just do not like the designs of the movie/Bay stuff. So while they might make some great MPs, I hate the way they look. Anything else.

My collecting goals are the real car G1s + any cool looking others, the 10 main S1 BW characters, and originally, all MPM real car figures. However, the MPM line has been a disappointment, IMO and my sole figure in that line may end up being MPM3

...so, like, 91.2% of masterpiece collectors buy G1 figures, if my headmath is correct...

I've got a feeling a lot of BW only collectors didn't vote (they probably don't feel welcome in MP threads, still), and maybe the same for MPM only fans, so I feel it's skewed a little there.

Still, look at all the sales TT lost this year from people who just weren't buying any MPs at all.

G1 and Beast Wars, although due to prices and the increased toon aesthetic my enthusiasm for G1 has been somewhat dampened. I've been (selectively) collecting the MP line since its inception and have never concidered myself a G1er or even thought of the MP line as implicitly G1 only. I was always sure it would broaden out to other lines as the people who grow up with those lines 'came of age' as adult collectors. What TT are doing with BW (and now BWII) seems pretty smart to me.

Assuming I had the funds and the space, I would ideally have prioritised G1 and Diaclone-themed MPs, but I would also have loved the display of BW and Movie main cast characters on a shelf, because they're doing a bang up job with those BW MPs and some of the MPMs.

I also would not scoff at Masterpiece style Car Robots era Transformers.

    All the best

G1 and BW only. MPM's don't really do anything for me.

G1 only. I love Beast Wars, but I can get three carbots for the cost of just BW Megatron. I’d rather finish Seasons 1-2, including 3rd party to fill the gaps.

Not any more you can't. Hound was 18,000 yen, beast War Megatron 35,000 yen, you can no longer get 2 Carbots for the price of BW Megatron.

I’m still missing a few older ones, so, for me, I can still make that claim.

I don’t consider myself a collector of Masterpiece due to how few I have but it’s all G1 so far, and will remain all G1.

CURRENT: Generation One (e-HOBBY exclusive Cybertrons/Autobots)
REASON: I have no current reasons to go beyond this point. The pieces based on mail-away releases do not interest me. The premiers based on any remaining Diaclone colors do not interest me. There are no additional store exclusives being made. And there are no offerings of characters based on their Lucky Draw counterparts. Plus I don't have any reason to include the Beast Wars portion of their G1 line-up. Nor do I collect anything tied to the movies.

    FUTURE: Fans Hobby's MB line
REASON: I plan to use this to cover any Masterpiece-scaled Cybertron (Autobot) Headmaster Junior figures. The remaining will be the smaller scaled Cybertron (Autobot) Godmasters.
