WHAT!!!! That's cool and all, but why don't they just finish off the G1 MP line like Jazz, Trailbreaker, and Cliffjumper. Takara is cool, but they're like a person with ADD. They can't stay focused on something.

There's still plenty S1/S2 characters left to release, and some big name ones at that.  I'm all for integrating other universes into the MP line, so long as we keep getting those unreleased S1/S2 characters. Somewhere along the line, I would love an MP Drift (and no, not the Bayverse version).

 

Oh noes, the Beast Wars fans are getting a Masterpiece of their own that probably doesn't even impact the release schedule of the main Masterpiece line!  

 

Maybe because it's the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars? Also it's far easier for them to do something like this. They don't have to work with Chevy to get the rights to use a cheetah. Which is why some of what you mentioned haven't been done it.

 

Honestly, I would be fine if they decided to alternate between the two and limit how many are put out a year. Say 2-3 each a year. G1 - BW - G1 - BW. Not only that but by limiting the number of releases, they can give Quality Control a bit more attention as well leading to better figures instead of chugging out MPs like they seem to be doing now.

 

I would think that, y'know, BW's anniversary this year may take slight priority given that there's really no rush to finish the G1 cast.

 

Meh. Any BW MP is great news, but Cheetor isn't a character I really care for, and if they're not even announcing him until June (assuming this is rumor is true at all) then he definitely isn't coming out before the end of the anniversary year.

 

Pretty simple, because as soon as they finish G1 and concentrate on something else like 90% of fans are out. So they spread them out to keep _everone_ engaged.

 

Because they all died of old age  

 

What were the G1 fans doing when Beast Wars was on TV?

 

Some grew too old to care about toys and cartoons so they never experienced it and have no nostalgic attachment towards it today, others liked it as much as G1 (or more) and some... well: Trukk not munky.

I have no interest in Cheetor, but great for those that want him. My worry is that there are more people like me and it won't sell amd then we'll never get Megatron....

Actually, I'd say this is great news for Megatron. If they're planning to do Cheetor, they must be confident enough to want to do more than just the token Convoy/Megatron pairing, which means Megatron's basically a sure thing, plus maybe more.

Finally, a decent season 1 Cheetor figure. Well deserved after that abortion of a toy that was Universe 2.0 Cheetor.

 

I was in high school . I had my brother tape it ( anyone remember doing that ? Lol ) cause I always had practice after school. It brought me right back into transformers . It wasn't until then is when I started to collect the toys . Been down hill ever since .
