Is that because of popularity? I thought it was because they wanted to make G1 Inferno out of the Hoist mold and having two characters named the same in (most likely) the same size class would be confusing. It is much cheaper to reuse a mold with very minor changes than to create a brand new one from scratch.

My thought is if he is popular enough, should warrant a release down the road, but im not holding my breath now for him. Still hope TT will cover him, scorponok or Terrorsaur (though unlikely)

Inferno is a good guess since he's not in Kingdom, even as G1 goes they've avoided Kingdom characters this year.

One can only hope. My BW shelves are severely imbalanced now. Need more predacons, whoever will do

TT is making Skids this year so I am pretty confident that all the S1 cast will be made sooner rather than later. Was anyone asking for Skids out of all the characters from G1?

Alright so, with Skids and Reboost being released in September as Mp 53 and 54 being officially announced I think 2022 is our next BW MP, especially looking at the current release schedule. Currently there is a 6 month break between Arcee and Starscream followed by 6 months with 5 MP releases, 3 of which are in September.

Skids isnt getting made because he's Skids, he's getting made because he's an original car robo and it's the anniversary of the Turbo. Dont think there's a BW equivalent for that.

Does the 25th anniversary of Beast Wars itself not count? Yeah there is Kingdom which is awesome but not even an MP for high end collectors?

the problem is that for takara beast wars 25 anniversary is next year not this one probably you are going to see 2 beast mps next year i would say rattrap or rhinox and waspinator probably, but for this year highly doubtfull we get something on what is left of the year most probably people were right and they dont want mps competing with the kingdom line

That's sound business strategy. The interest in the franchise isn't waning anytime soon with collectors but oversaturating the market can lead to buyer fatigue with general consumers. According to the numbers the Kingdom line is selling quite well and while I'm disheartened about not receiving any announcements for the next figures in the line until probably 2022 it's been a great year for fans of the property with both the main line and soon to be released vintage figures we've gotten thus far.

Slightly off topic, but are those 4 vintage figures the only ones getting released?

Well, fair’s fair. It’s not like TT have ever released a G1 MP the same year as a totally unrelated G1 line was in production. The market might start getting sick of buying Primes and Bumblebees.

TT also stands for two timer. :lol

Being BW fans this is just par for the course with how until just this year they've doled out figures in this franchise to us at the pace of molasses.

Thats an easy work around. Simply pivot names from beast inferno to Scavenger a nodd to the transmetal rename of Inferno. No confusion and ant least some fans such as my self would appreciate the nuance

That's pretty genius and would be one hell of a deep cut for collectors. I love it.

So with Skids and Reboost being MP-53 and MP-54 respectively... chances of a BW MP in 2021 are looking mighty slim wouldn't you say? Maybe an announcement/reveal by the end of the year but a release seems off the cards at this point :(

Yeah, every year I put money aside for the next BW MP, but I've already started spending that on some third party stuff this year.

And we'll be lucky just to get 1. Dave Lee will have finished S1 by then anyways.

If this was an accidental pun, it's amazing.
