Maybe. In like... a decade, once the S1 cast is done.

I'd be putting my hopes in a Generations figure for him sooner.

 

Nah. Takara should do the Jazz thing and leave us hanging while moving on to other stuff. Like a good tease.  

 

I'd be down for 3 of him, tbh I'd prefer he's released sooner rather than later given the rate of MP price inflation and he's the largest of the remaining S1 characters. At least if he comes out in the next couple of years he might only be 30,000 yen MRRP.

 

I just want a new S1 Terrorsaur. I know it won't be perfect, I know that even if they take the approach of like, dozens of tiny panels that fold up into the chest, there's only so much space at his proper scale. But as a beast wars kid, it's just something I really want. Kingdom has let me down.

 

The fact that TT didn't even do Terrorsaur in Kingdom makes me really worried we may never get a MP version since they couldn't even figure out how to do a decent one for the mainline series.

 

A scaled up/retooling of the original basic class Terrorsaur would be pretty accurate to the CG show. The main challenge for Takara is probably adding enough complexity to the transformation and possibly finding a way to hide away the wings in robot mode.

 

I don't see how that could be considered show accurate.

 

Lol it sure does  , the only major change would be the wings as mentioned before. Paint apps and sculpting details are relatively minor.

 

Honestly, I would be SUPER STOKED for just a properly scaled version of the original spring-loaded toy plus accurate head/limb sculpting. I'd be willing to ignore the ridiculous amount of kibble it would have below the body as long as he looks good in robot-mode. And a return to spring-loaded transformations would be awesome.

I wonder how good of a 3d sculpt we could get from a freelance 3d-sculptor on Upwork or the like. I'd be willing to pitch in a couple hundred bucks for such work even if it meant just 3d-printing and painting your own figure.

Has everyone seen the Masterpiece Scaled Inferno someone is working on in the Facebook groups? The amount of work he has done in a week is incredible.

That guy says he's gonna do terrorsaur next, that he'll rescale that MP inferno to Kingdom scale, AND that he's gonna do an Antagony limited run. I'm following it with a LOT of interest.

 

It’s crazy how much progress you can make working like that- but it is his job as well so I guess he’s used to meeting stupid deadlines.

My only worry is how limited a run he’ll do of Inferno. Seems like he’s made a Bay figure before but only did a run of 10 and each cost $400USD.
That was almost double the size of Inferno though so hopefully his pricing won’t be so high and he’ll boost the production numbers for more profit.

And Terrorsaur next hey- well I always knew someone with digital sculpting skills could eventually challenge my handmade beau.

Inferno seems more likely to receive an official MP than Terrorsaur to me so it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I miss out but I’d still love to have one.

Is it a years old custom, from a recent online event, 3P or what?
If this is TA’s next release then I couldn’t be more impressed unless it also came with giant, translucent Vok. hard to believe this would be TT’s next release but there’s a lot of Tomy product in the background... Maybe the 25tu anniversary will open the door to MP Transmetals...

Would Takara's first Transmetal MP be Tarantulas though? That slot is almost guaranteed for Primal or Megatron. This is most likely 3rd party. But it looks so sick.

 

I’d actually rather it was a 3P figure- for cost reasons and to keep the mainline to S1. But as long as it’s something I can buy, I’ll be happy. I’m a big fan of TM Tarantulas.

 

I also want another S1 update from TT. I have no aims yet to collect TM MP figures as long as S1 is incomplete.

Posted on a Beast Wars facebook fans page today asking for any info on what it could be. I can’t find it now

 

Found another pic on Instagram, they have no clue either! Looks awesome doe, and he comes with a web and a another face for his spider mode. Hoping this is a real figure that we can buy, the web and web attachments look an awful lot like Takara Tomys webs that came with BA.
