Incredibly exciting prospect that MP Rhinox could actually be on the cards, but I'm not going to get my hopes up until we actually start seeing something more tangible than rumours.

Presumably, we'll be getting a reveal of the next MP reasonably soon-ish.

I wonder if RotB would also put Airazor up there as a potential contender in the near future.

My preference is still Rattrap just because he's my favorite. But beggars can't be choosers and I just want a new MP Beast Wars figure. So bring on whoever it may be. I certainly wont scoff at Rhinox.

He's a valued member of the TFW community that would not make stuff up. If he says that his sources have provided him with accurate information in the past, then I am certainly inclined to believe him.

Oh man, the thought of a show accurate MP Rhinox. What a beaut! Really hope this pans out!

 

A lucky few of us have had the Hard Hero Rhinox Statue to enjoy for the last... 19 years (?! WTF), but a fully poseable, transformable, screen accurate figure is going to be absolutely sublime.

 

Yeah, it’s an amazing statue! I used to own it before I moved to Japan. Price on the secondary market has gone up a lot so haven’t bothered rebuying it. Especially because I was pretty certain that we’d eventually get an MP.

 

It's been a while since I looked at the box. I can't remember what number mine is. But there's only 2500 of the beauties floating around out there.

I'm confident about the S1 Maximals all getting MPs. Tigatron and Airazor were points of potential concern for me, but Tigatron is done and Airazor is in ROTB, so she's basically a certainty to me now. That only leaves Rattrap, and come on, it's Rattrap.

The trouble is the Preds. If Rhinox is next, that makes the count 5 to 2. We'll need a couple of them in a row to help catch up in order to help ensure we get the full S1 set. Megs and Blackarachnia were consecutive (in terms of BW releases), so it's not outside the realms of possibility.

 

In the jumping to conclusions game, Rhinox definitely makes me feel like Rattrap would be a foregone conclusion. I’m still not sold Airazor is, but ROTB does help her case. Preds are tougher. Scorponok seems the least likely to get made just based on importance. I would rate Waspinator and Inferno over Tarantulas, but that is probably more personal opinion than anything and I have no idea how the Japanese audience views the characters.

 

I wouldn't count Airrazor out. You have to think of this from a Japanese perspective as that is the fan base the MP line is made for. IRRC Tigatron and Airrazor were pretty popular characters in the Japanese dub with their samurai and student relationship. It would make sense they would want to get Airrazor out to pair with the already released Tigatron figure. Not to mention it is not a hard transformation to pull of as the Kingdom figure pretty much nailed it. Maybe a few extra panels to hide some bot kibble in the front of the beast mode but otherwise they would probably end up super similar.

Out of all the season 1 cast Terrorsaur is probably the least likely to get done. He just has way too much mass shifting between modes. Dinobot was able to pull it off as both his modes are bulky but Terrorsaur's beast mode is way too slender to pull of that magic again.
