That's an interesting thought. A bit of cross-promotion/name recognition across lines to help sell the big guy, who perhaps has the potential to be more expensive than Megs.

 

Rhinox is my favorite Beast Wars character, so even as a casual MP collector he would be a definite purchase. Maybe having the same form for all three seasons helps his recognizability?

 

Transmetals (like Cheetor) or Fuzors (like Silverbolt).

 

I am really hoping that they will continue the MPBW line after the Movie comes out. Hopefully they just put the line on hold because of Kingdom/Legacy line was focusing on many Beast Wars characters the past few years and would have affected the hype and sales of a MP figure release as a whole. Same deal with the beast movie figures coming out... They probably want full focus on that line. So it might be awhile until we see another MPBW release with all these beast figures coming out. I feel like the timing after the last release after MP Tigertron kind of proves that theory, unless that is a really strange coincidence lol

 

Takara tomy has done such a amazingly incredible job will all of these MPBW releases. Especially MP Dinobot, his engineering is extremely impressive like black magic lol. It would be insane and such a waste if Takara decided to stop the line now.

Is there a separate thread to discuss 3rd Party Masterpiece Scaled Beast Wars? Cuz I remember the mods saying this thread is meant for Takara Masterpiece but 3rd parties are the only ones making them now.

 

Yes, plenty of threads in the 3rd party section. Pretty much one for each announced release past and future and a Trans-Art generic thread as well.

 

There's a general TransArt masterpiece thread. It's the closest thing to a general 3rd part BW MP thread since until MetaGate they were the only ones making any MP stuff.

As much as I'd like to see a Pred next (to keep the numbers somewhat even), the more I think about it, the more an MP Rhinox being next makes sense to me:

• He's one of only four Maximals (that we know of) that will appear in Rise of the Beasts
  • And has three figures revealed already
• He'll be a big, heavy figure and has the potential to be more expensive than MP Megs
  
  • The increased attention and exposure from ROTB could help sell him
• He has limited (potentially no) redeco/retool potential
  • Striking whilst in the public eye seems like a logical idea, to help recoup costs on a one-and-done mould
• The robot legs of his recent and upcoming figures are quite complex in transformation
  
  • It's almost as if the designers are testing out ideas, or, drawing them from another complex figure waiting in the wings
• Figures are only getting more expensive
  • Sooner rather than later would be the ideal
• MP Tigatron was released in September, 2020
  • Fans are ravenous to continue their BW MP collections

I see plenty of justification for the big fella, and the opportunity seems ripe.

 

Its nice to dream. He's right at the top of my BWMP wanted list since I also need him for my S2 display.

I believe we will see him one day but I doubt we'll get any BW announcements at least until Raiden is out of the way.

 

Hope springs eternal. With ROTB, I’m definitely hoping for a revival. My bare minimum hopes for this line are Rhinox, Rattrap, and Waspinator, but obviously the rest are welcome. Movie masterpieces from ROTB (which seem inevitable) are really going to hack me off though.

 

Pred rhinox from Dark Designs has strangely never been done as a redeco! I would love to see that.

the og deluxe rhinox was my very first figure as a kid. Been holding out on collecting the BWMPs as an adult, checking in every couple years to see if Rhinox would ever be released, to start doing. finally caved this year after seeing all the transart line and am up to date on everything out there so far. Still holding out hope for MP Rhinox as the next one!

 

Yup I feel like whenever a new BW MP happens or one happens this year, RHinox makes sense since he's a bigger character and also the big one is that he is one of the Maximals for ROTB.

 

Actually there is a new rumor about mp-13+ and rhinox.
