I don't think I can open it while I am still in Japan, because as a tourist I am exempted from paying consumption tax but everything I buy will be put into a sealed bag, which is supposed to be opened only after I've exited the country. Japan has been cracking down on people violating that rule.

I went to japan in March and all I did was put what I bought in my luggage or carry on. I did none of what you described and I still didn't pay consumption tax.

Tax is included in the price in Japan.

Not sure where you are from, but prices in Japan by default are tax inclusive or 税込. In order to qualify for 税抜, you have to present your passport and make a purchase above a certain amount, I think it's 5000 Yen(?) AND not all stores support the 税抜 scheme. The "good" people over at Jungle Osaka bluntly told me 関係ない (it doesn't matter) when I asked them to give me the Gaijin (excluding tax) price. Apparently they have to record those purchases in a certain system.

Right, then I didn't pay tax for clothes there since I presented my passport and got a price deduction from the removal of tax, but i'm not sure if clothing is a different situation altogether since I technically could have started wearing them the day of purchase (I didn't since there'd be no point).

I think you are in the right here, because according to this, https://livejapan.com/en/article-a0000238/ only consumables are supposed to be sealed. I bought a couple of Diaclones last year over at Yodobashi Camera, and they sealed the bag, in fact I still have not opened it :)

That would make more sense than not allowing any tax deducted purchases to be opened within the country. I bought stuff from yodabashi previously and they sealed the bag as well, but I didn't get the tax deducted since it was a small purchase, so that might just be how they bag stuff in general

Waiting for the next one to be the mouse.
I already pre-ordered my MP Rhinox on Aliexpress, using a discount coupon, it cost $259 dollars (usd). Can anyone tell me if it was cheap or expensive? For me, given the recent launches, it was cheap as their prices are increasingly more expensive.

Yes, stores always seal shopping bags here with a piece of tape.

Not a US buyer myself and don't mean to discourage you, but that seems really steep... BBTS and Hasbro themselves have them up for less USD for as far as I can tell (but again, no idea what US tax/shipping/etc will make it turn out to be).

And European local prices, which are usually quite higher due to import and tax fees, also seem comparatively lower...

That seems a bit steep. Does that include shipping?

He’s still available from Amazon Japan for around $150 before shipping and (if applicable) taxes:

Shipping seems to only be like $30 to the US.

This value of $259 already includes shipping. Shipping alone was $25. Thank you for your feedback!

Digging way back in the MP Primal thread, official word of the exclusive die-cast mace flail accessory first hit in April 2016, 6 months before his release in October.

We're just days away from MP Rhinox arriving, but no word of a certain toy-only accessory... yet.

    I still have hope.
