I saw a chinese collector talked about this, he thinks there will be not enough space to install the pin without damaging the skin, so they designed a hole on both side and made the pin a bit longer, which will be more convenient for the factory workers to install the pin

 

Paid off my two from Show Z a few days ago for £305; £152.50 each. That’s one hell of a bargain in my eyes, especially when local stores are charging around £200 a piece.

After a disastrous experience opening DB01 TMII Dinobot, I’m more than ready to receive a product of genuine quality with a transformation that doesn’t make me want destroy everything in my vicinity.

The Gundam metallic red marker I ordered online finally came in. No more "dead eyes" Rhinox!!

 

He looks so great otherwise. How did the "dead eyes" pass inspection?

 

I imagine the conversation went something like "Should we incorporate light up eyes? Or just paint them?" "It will be cheaper to use light piped clear plastic."

 

I think this is the case. If anything, the pin’s ‘too long’ as it only really needs to join the bits of the hinge in the middle. A longer pin was used to allow it to be put in from the outside of the main shell. I’m sure I’ve got another figure that has this, but can’t remember which one.

 

It's kinda freaky to me just how GOOD this release looks: he looks like he stepped right out of the show.

 

Pretty standard Beast Wars MP experience tbh. Maybe Dinobot needs a little suspension of disbelief due to the torso, but I pretty much get that feeling with every one of em.

 

I used to own the Hard Hero statue and I’m strangely nostalgic for it. Even though it’s a bit of goofy pose, I just keep finding myself putting MP Rhinox in it.

Another solution for red eyes: find a red plastic bag, cut out a small rectangle, and sandwich it between the head and one of the face parts. The compression will force the plastic to conform to the eye sculpt:
