Yeah, that's the major thing holding me back. That, and I don't give a lick about Lio Convoy. But a cool enough toy can persuade me despite that.

I can deal with a 'toon deco on a car. You still have all the surface detail and bits and bobs sculpted in, even if they're not coloured as they should be. An animal, however, looks pretty jarring in this style. He doesn't really "fit in" anywhere because he's so aesthetically distinct.

They can potentially get me if they do a "toy-style" version with some fur print and a more realistic lion face sculpt. But the 'toon accurate version is just not for me.

 

It still looks awful.

Preorders will probably start this weekend after WonFes. I think TTemploy or someone else said that preorders would start later in the Summer.

Yeah after careful consideration unless something amazing happens and he's either loaded with some amazing accessories or actually reasonably priced I'm most probably out. Although I initially admired and wanted to support the diversification of an BWII MP release the overly toon deco doesn't really do it for me...mostly becuase having watched enough of the toon it just ain't for me.

Yeah buddy, here we go!

First look some weapons; the figure holds Lio Convoy's handheld blaster in his right hand:



And the rocket launcher from his forearm is flipped over on his left:



Although it could also be a launcher from the lion mane (which could be detached and held in the hands on the original toy), the red barrel tips are throwing me off.

 

I’ve always gotten my BWMPs from Amazon Japan (including BA preorder), but thinking of trying out Pulse for this one. Excited. I always wanted the original back in the day.

 

Looking forward to getting some clear images of this and those weapons. I really hope we get a full reveal of his accessories and price this weekend. That's the very same display box they've used for BWMP for a while now....it's geting awful crowded in there  

 

That’d be awesome. Fingers crossed for $150 or less.

 

I’m imagining we’ll see that gun again for future figures. Hopefully we’ll get a closer and clearer look.

 

So Wonder Festival Summer is happening tomorrow? I guess we'll be seeing way more photos later tonight?
