Who even is BC as a character? Who's LC? Are they just other convoy peeps like Primal or Ginrai?

It’s a military rank for generals, named in honor of Optimus Prime (called Convoy in Japan).

 

I got that much, but is there anything noteworthy of those convoys in particular as characters? What's the draw to them outside admittedly slick designs?

Well, you’d have to look into their individual fictions. Lio Convoy was a pretty generic leader dude, BWII was more about the maximals under his command and of course them fighting Galvatron’s Predacons. It should be noted though, that Lio’s main problem in the series was trying to show his innate warm nature. Lio Junior (part of Magnaboss) is constantly trying to gain his approval.

Big Convoy was a loner who had a crew of kid maximals forced upon him by the high council in order to, idk, make him more sociable or a team player I guess. It’s kinda nice seeing him warm up to them a little after they impress him with their abilities.

 

I've always been interested in that stuff, but the 20th-century TF anime shows (except for Victory) are all really really slow and hard to get through.

 

Lio is generic Prime, Big Convoy is Energon Prime, a tired dad. Gotcha

 

I had fun with Masterforce once you get past the first few episodes, but watching an English dub REALLY helps. BWII and BWN are harder to watch because all we have are subtitles.

 

will MP48 Lio will be expensive than MP beast Megatron.

 

It breaks my heart that the Victory fandub died before it could finish.

 

Despite the fact that he shouldn't be, he probably will be at this point.

 

looks fragile, I don\'t like the head, the beast mode head looks silly, while the bot head looks dead serious.  

 

Honestly as much as I want a Primal, I really like the idea of the American BW cast being led by Leo Prime.
