Need to see that beast mode from a different, more flattering angle i think. But yeah, looking pretty good otherwise. Was NOT expecting a bwII masterpiece already, but i ain't gonna complain when it's Lio Convoy.

Certainly unexpected, and a nice looking figure. They really are doing some fantastic work on the MP BWs.

This reveal gives me some hope for MP Deathsuarus! We already have MP Star Saber, and if they are jumping to something like Lio Convoy, why not the Emperor of Destruction?

Good point. Every mold usually has a repaint. Assuming this guy is ridiculously expensive, we should hopefully get another version. I’m hoping that Galva version honestly. The flash version is mostly the same paint scheme but translucent.

 

Perfect Effect wasn't show accurate and went for a Cybertronian mode for the character. its alt mode was also just as garbage.

 

I mean I do but you must know me right? Anyway my point was that I thought it was an interesting choice as the BW MP line still has many characters not addressed yet. I'm not throwing shade at it at all. I just see that the Japanese market is what is more important to TT at this time.

 

Looks good but the beast arms just jutting off the backs of his wrists looks pretty weak. For a MP this seems lazy, but I didn\'t watch the show so for all I know that could be screen accurate.

 

Well from day one the Japanese otaku market has always been important to TT. It stands to reason that time after time and in each of the different era TF anime shows, all leader hero characters sell much better and receive positive consumer feedback every single time. Its just super surprising it took TT this quick to realize a fully fleshed out, super anime accurate, beautifully porportioned BW Lio Convoy in MP form. Im shocked in a good way.
Like it or not the MP toon accurate route/ direction will be TT's permenant plan going foward. Haters to the left plz. N ThankUBYE.

Sorry that you feel this way but for me this was exactly what I needed.

G1 is entirely done for me; I don't like the most recent figures at all, and even with Beast Wars a little bit of boredom was starting to kick in with Blackarachnia.

Getting such an unforeseen release of a Japanese Beast Wars character is excellent.

 

Well TT already revealed MP Hound and it was pure G1. They wanted to satisfy other fans and focus on really unexpected and left field era releases. Not to mention that TT wanted to chalk off and finally properly update one of their most imporant Leader Maxinal Commanders first.

 

RID Prime or Galaxy Convoy would be great! But seriously can TT churn out more MP Decepticons please? We are bloody being utterly spoilt rotten by TT and yet so much unecessary bullshit and drama are being hurled at the ORIGINATORS AND DYNAMIC CREATORS OF TRANSFORMERS FRANCHISE. NO DIACLONE/ MICROCHANGE = NO TRANSFORMERS. FACT.

 

If MP-50 isn't G1 Galvatron, I say we all stage a revolt and storm Takara's headquarters.

The complete lack of fur detailing on this weirds me out.
Coupled with the fact that the original toy was dope enough *(IMHO)
I'm just not feeling this... pass.
