I'm rarely particularly critical of MPs, as I'm sure some remember from my love of Bumblebee 2.0 despite its kibble issues.

But while the design and transformation here are predictably amazing, and while a lot of the things that seem to bug others (proportions, etc.) don't phase me, this is the first face sculpt since the line reboot that just doesn't land for my tastes.

I'm struggling to find a single animation cel in the 86 film where her chin is that pointed. With mouth open, sure. The jaw lowers and points, and it looks pretty spot on there. But with her mouth closed, imo it should look more like the reference animation model, and I just don't see that personally being as pointed as they've made her chin here.

The reference model zoomed into her face:

Shots from the cartoon and movie:

    MP-51:

That's the only point of criticism I have personally. Everything else is within tolerable limits for me owing to the complexity of making a transforming action figure with these features and dimensions. Impressive figure otherwise as always.

    :lol

its the shoulders being too high and the colar too long that make them look saggy , said it all along if they had lowered them this figure would look almost perfect

She's in a prone sniping position.o_O  As for atrocious, Subjective. I get it.

Googled it. Not see it at all. The resemblance that is.

    :buttrock  Amazing design.

Yup. Subjective individual preferences. No offense taken. And my wallet has gone Defcon infinity already! :lolol

Evokes the same feeling when the IH and Inferno mold was released! :jawdropper:

I mean duh, I know it's supposed to be her in a prone sniping position.

I am saying that because of that atrocious backpack, instead it just looks its some poor robot girl crushed under a pile of fallen debris.

No masterpiece moments to see here. It's a slightly evolved T30 transformation which is honestly disappointing fo a masterpiece. The real news with this pic is a great look at her articulation points. Ball-jointed diaphragm is known but now I wonder if there's a joint at the bottom of the white torso area too. Also looks like the chest is poorly sculpted solely for her butterfly joints.

Okay, since most of our posts are "reitirations" of our previous posts already, I'm putting this out again: Jim Sorensen(TF:A Virtual History) has the actual vehicle mode model sheets for her (Elita-1), once I purchase that TF Boltax book of his, I'll post a much clearer photograph of it (dear mods, if there is a DMCA on it, please pm me already so as to avoid any legal entanglements). It looks like this (got this from youtube).

    Alt mode.jpg
it reminded me of a car version of G1 UFO/hovercraft Scourge. Buuuuuuuuuuuut if Takara would upscale/retool/reshell the current MP-51 mold to MP-44 scale and add those extra molded details that the WFC/ER(someone called her a glorified bar of soap) Elita-1 version doesn't have
    800px-WFC_Trilogy_Elita-1.jpeg
and use the same transform mechanics on her. Would you all be game for a retool/reshell of the Arcee mold to Elita one?

Edit: Got a somewhat clearer bigger image of Elita.

No. I consider Elita to be in a class with Optimus and Megatron. She is the fembot leader and should have her own mold. Also sharing a mold with Arcee would result in this horrible backpack being given to Elita... and Elita doesn't have paldrons on her back.

The only amazing thing about this figure is that the designers managed to not only give it the "engineering" of a CHUG figure, being a total shellformer, but its also completely inaccurate looking to the source material at the same time. Lets see if they can complete the crap trifecta and have it fall apart with poor construction quality also.

The saggy grandma robo tiddies really do kill the whole look. If her breastplate were just a little bit higher, I might've actually wanted this figure, as it looks good to me otherwise. The backpack doesn't bother me that much. Eartrise Arcee's backpack is much worse, but at least that one's robot tiddy panel is proportioned better. Man, when the Cyberverse Build-A-Thew-MacAddams deluxe figure is the best Arcee this year.

Say what you will about her bot mode but Arcee's vehicle mode is fantastic.

However, I do NOT look forward to transforming her in and out of said vehicle mode.
