Just look at Sunstreaker and Inferno, who had the prettier face? Inferno is not suppose to be prettier than Sunstreaker.
Honestly? Sunstreaker has the prettier face there. Inferno's has too pronounced lips and what's with that extra curve? Also his eyes are too wide for his face. I mean it's still a nice facesculpt but if I'm rating them for "prettiness," I gotta' give it to Sunny. Personally I prefer more of a blending between toy aesthetic and toon so I'd have actually preferred a yellow version of MP39+ (well, the head shape and the shin details anyway. The face looks a little too boxartish for my taste) but for a toon accurate Sunstreaker, I think they did just fine and I really enjoy his smiling face (looks like a smug laugh to me). I tried searching for cartoon screenshots of Sunny and I thought all of them looked worse than the MP facesculpt. If there's a better example of what you think they should've done than just "Not what we got" I'll leave it to you to find. *Smug laugh I was talking about.
i think she may go up tonight or thursday night she's already starting to appear on a couple of import shops already
Curious if we will get the standard speckled background high res TT pics when the big import shop pre-orders go up. Kinda odd to not have those yet all things considered.
While I usually defend the G1 series's animation, poor Sunstreaker was usually saddled with pretty bad art and his face looked totally different in every shot. IMHO he never once looked as good as he did here, and the MP face sculpt seems pretty spot-on to me (granted it has a longer chin, as all interchangeable MP faces do, to accommodate open/closed mouths that don't interfere with transformation).
Honestly I already acknowledged I was in the wrong when I said it, I wasn't in the right mind as well. That is no excuse, and honestly there are many people that aren't hate filled. Just seeing so much negativity in a lot of places was getting to me finally after months and months of it
It’s so funny how individual tastes and perceptions vary. I used that exact scene as a reference for how I wished his face looked! Takara Tomy MP-45 Bumblebee 2.0
Ahh, the good old MP-45 reveal. That was one one if those those once you get him in hand and started fooling around with him, it's like "Oh, I get it now, I'm guessing Arcee will be the same for some people.
How many tacos can you buy for that price? On serious way, buy from japan, she costs like the other new carbots
You're not the only one. I bought both Tracks and Road Rage, and loved them both despite the flaws. It'll probably be the same when I buy MP-45, and it'll probably be the same for MP-51.
The BBTS placeholder page has been removed (along with two other URLs for different purchase variations)...could this mean real POs are nigh?
On Sunstreaker, I really think - and of course it's entirely subjective - that he got one of the worst face sculpts of the MP line - which is a shame, as otherwise it's one of my favourite figures (and probably the best of all the car bots in terms of transformation, robot mode, articulation, build and cool gimmicks that don't have any negative side effects). This is what I wanted: And this is what I see every time I look at MP-39's face: Fortunately Cordon came along, so I'm now much happier with this, even though it is indeed more box-arty and toy-like: Indeed! I'm not too sure about Arcee's face sculpt right now, but I hated MP-45's face sculpt in early pictures, whereas in-hand it's up there with the best of them in terms of capturing the cartoon character. And Arcee does look a little better with the open-mouthed face in recent pictures, so fingers crossed. I'm looking forward to checking her out in-hand - hopefully those pre-orders do indeed open soon.
CM's Excel Suit Spike and Daniel. Official third party offering from the people that made the Minerva and Ginrai figures. Not unofficial product like the other stuff people consider "third party". Company closed down before these were released.
