The one on the right is the absolute limit on how big he should be. Anything larger will royally screw up how these guys look next to each other.

 

The one on the left actually scales nicely in robot mode, and judging by the width of his chest, vehicle mode too. How often does that happen?

then you should look into the classic line instead, not the MP line.

 

They can easily make a MP Sunstreaker. I have no doubt that they will. Just look at the picture above. Swipe and Streaker are known in TF history as being twin brothers. Therefore it wouldn't make sense for them to make one without the other. Hell! We didn't get numerous repaints of MP Megatron or Grimlock. So I don't think the main selling factor is if they can only squeeze repaints out of each character they release. This thing is gonna sell like a Mother Trucker, and so will a MP Sunstreaker! You know it...I know it...Bob Dole knows it....The American people know it...

 

I definitely wouldn't buy a MP Sunstreaker if he was just a yellow repaint of Sideswipe with a new head. The whole appeal of Sunstreaker to me is that he shares the same alt mode but has a completely different transformation/bot mode.

 

I'd take the one on the right, where MP Sideswipe is about as tall (or slightly shorter) than the MP Seeker mold. And yes, please, MP Sunstreaker within a timely fashion after MP Sideswipe.

Considering Binaltech Sunstreaker and Henkei Sunstreaker exist... not really.

I hear what you're saying but the Alternity line proves you can have brilliantly detailed, MP-level feats of engineering at the Classics scale. THAT'S WHAT I WANT.

Also, when MP Ultra Magnus comes along I think it'd be a shame if none of the MP cars fit in his trailer!

I don't think Punch/Counterpunch repaint is a good idea. As a matter of fact that's a terrible idea. The original was never a Lamborghini, first off. And secondly (what has been said too many times in this thread before), the whole point of the MP line is all about originality to the original G1 line. While Red Alert would work from this mold, P/CP would not.

 

Well if Sunstreaker is a retool with the waste swivel it could work but I can also see why it couldn't at the same time.
