You seem to have no concept of how the economics would work in this situation.

If takara suddenly decided to try going bankrupt and produce anything NEAR the size of this thing, they would have to invest MAD amounts of money into multiple things:
-raw materials (plastic, metal, paint, etc)
-engineering (a straight upscaling of the old figure will not do, this thing would really have to have every possible point of articulation at least by human standards)
-the molds needed to cast this thing (the molds are NOT cheap, even for something as small as a scout class)

That would be a LOT of money, and then they would need to SELL it in order to make a profit. In your crazy idea that in this global reccession that there are more than at maximum 100 people on the face of this earth (I'm being VERY generous with that number of people BTW) who would and could buy something like this, that's enough money to put a down payment on a nice house or mid-class car. Throw in the insane shipping charges (it WILL be EMS, anything at this size will not be shipped any other way from Japan), and you could probably buy the entire Transformers Victory lineup MISB.

It's hard enough trying to get the ORIGINAL Fort Max. No person in his sane mind, even if he was a hardcore "manchild", would want to buy a Fort. Max of this size unless he was actually expelling $100 bills from his butt. It would also bankrupt Takara, which would more or less mean the end of anything aimed at Transformers Collectors since they are the ones who do all that stuff, Hasbro just imports it.

6K? I would think it was less, maybe 3K. However, I think those were only for store displays and not actually intended for commercial sale. Plus, those didn't need super-engineering to figure out how to transform from one form to another.

wow, that's huge, about 8 ft by the looks of things, it'll be interesting to see if it can stand under it's own weight, I want a video of the builder trying to get it out the door when it's fully built :lol

Take us some more pics of it!

As for other people wondering if this could be made by a 3rd party company, ask yourself one thing. How the hell would this be delivered to your house. The shipping alone is in the hundreds of dollars.

That thing is WAY beyond 8ft...

The Maximus standing next to it is 2ft alone...if you measure him against JUST the legs...you get just over 8ft on the LEGS ALONE!!

This beast will be the size of a house when it's done...

Isn't that maximus next to the build one of those downsized KO's? In which case it's only about 7-8" tall.

That's insane. And at first glance, it totally looks like something Anemis would do.

Way to pee on Anemis' scratch-building skills, lol.

Although KB and C146 are also great at what they do.
