I'm kind of in the same boat as you but I've actually been thinking about selling him. None of the alt modes really blow me away but the bot mode is nice. It's really minor but the forced 'A' stance and the inner leg flaps bug me. I'm not as big of a fan of the character as I thought so I find myself focusing on it's flaws rather than enjoying the figure. I do love the MMC quality and paint though. Decisions decisions..

 

For the alt modes, I actually very much like the jet. Other than that, I sort of like the Wolf mode, but really, it is the bot and jet modes I love.

 

dude looks great in my collection as a bot... im kinda suspecting the more MMC figures i get the more the alt mode, any of them will match up with something to the point where ill want to fly them around the house together..

I love all the alt modes but my favorites are the tank, wolf and jet. Very excited to re-experience the mold with Grandus in a few months.

I feel like people expect far far too much from 6 changes. A vague resemblance to a thing is all that is required when a figure has to do that much. If a company is able to go further than that then they've basically made the greatest tf of all time. Hasn't happened yet, probably never will as its extremely difficult.

 

in my head i don't expect much out of any of the alt modes.. but the heart wants what the heart wants


tonight was a (what I'm considering a tank?) tank night... play level enjoyment high.... looks interesting enough.

 

I had recently gotten my Hexatron and is a great figure! One problem that i have with it though is when transforming to gun mode, the gun handle doesn't plug together. Do I need to shave the pegs? or is it something else?

 

I have the same issue, and haven't looked into a solution.

 

How does this compare with clonedroid quality wise. I wonder cause i have sixshot but never handled hexatron.

 

having only had the super nova version, the paint and finish on continuum is absolutely amazing. love this version of hexatron.

opened Hexatron today, nice Super Articulated Update for Sixshot (though I wish there was an official Hasbro/ Takara update, but the odds of that happening is slim to none)

BTW, this will be my last big 3RD Party purchase before I move, I'll go for the Not Insecticons after I'm settled in and I have some money saved up

 

Hey was looking through but couldn't find an answer; does the dazzling glory set work with any version of hexatron? I managed to find a set and now I want to make sure the head will work on whichever hexatron I buy.

 

The R-01C Continuum version has a fixed head / non removable helmet. The Dazzling Glory set will work with Supernova and R-01 Original version.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. Would have liked to have had both sets of guns in chrome with the chrome head. Maybe someone will part with the newer pistols. But I'm just happy to have gotten the dazzling glory set. Bbts apparently has some of the first version, I may go that route.

 

Sorry to necro this thread, but have any of you tried to go full ham and displayed Hexatron with both sets of swords and both sets of guns at the same time? I figure what with him being this robot ninja and all, it seems appropriate he would have this over the top selection of armament. The continuum version definitely looks like the better toy, but I like the look of the old guns and sword scabbards in alt mode.
