Agreed. It looks cool and I'll buy it when it comes out in 2020 but MMC's commitment to delays makes it hard to get excited about their announcements anymore.

This looks fantastic. As usual, when MMC reveals new projects, my wallet leaps from my pocket and empties itself in the direction of my monitor.

I know it'll take forever. I know I'll probably still be looking at pics of Overlord in grey proto form come this time next year, let alone this guy. But as much grief as I give this company, they really do make up for the delays with amazing toys.

 

They do? Feral Rex was amazing but there releases since have been average (Salvia, Cynicus). They really need to realease SOMETHING and have it be good or they are gonna loose more people.

 

They both look really good in many ways, but what seals the deal is MMC's jet mode, and the fact that the bulk of the robot is along the middle fuselage and not just boxed under the rear section, which makes it looks like a cheap way to do it, like many Hasbro jet modes.
Both robot modes are great though.

 

This is making me hard...I hope this thing is huge though.

I can't help it if people didn't enjoy Cynicus. He's one of my favorite toys of the year, however. So to each their own.

Thunderwing is a character that I really want in my collection -- thanks to the Marvel comics, not IDW.

Not sure if this will be the one to get. I do like the Pretender option.

 

YES PLEASE! I also want the remolds of that. Particularly Shockwave, as we totally lack a decent CHUG Shockwave.

 

I hope the inner robot scales with other Legend class figures.

 

Both look great, but as I collect mostly MMC's Reformatted line, that one will be my Thunderwing.

That being said, I would absolutely love a 3rd party Thunderwing based on the original G1 Matrix Quest pretender from the comics. It doesn't even have to contain the inner robot. Just the Pretender shell would be fantastic.

 

I like the inner-robot concept, but it's not the aesthetic I'm looking for. It just plain doesn't work for me. It looks more like an interpretation of IDW Thunderwing than a representation, and I'm more into the IDW version than whatever other inspirations they've got going on here.

 

I have garatron, but this one looks good too. I might have to buy it as well.
