I managed to “successfully” take off his thumb...it broke off...lol but I have model glue so that was a no biggie. I used a white gundam marker to color his hand white.

Honestly with the generations one being as well done as it is I don't see them making Him, But if they do it's a instant buy for me.

 

Yea I agree I would buy a better brainstorm, But I would rather they make characters that need a updated toy are a toy all together, Like skids,nightbeat need a update bad. But what I want the most is proper size fembots(atleast voyager), And yea I want them all Windblade,Anode-Lug,Elita one,Chromia,Arcee,Mistress of flame,Torchbearers, but most of all Nautica.

I gotta remember to nab a second copy of Domey and Rewind, so good thing BBTS also got their stock in. In the end it's either them or TCP in that matter.

 

Do you generally purchase doubles or is this set that special to you?

 

It depends. I usually get doubles for certain ones. Combiners, one for bot mode, one for combined and/or one to flip around between combined and alt-mode. For my Stunticons for example, 2 Fans Toys sets, 1 for bot and one to mess with so I can have those amazing alt-modes and the crazy-ass combiner, and then XTB as my main combiner. As another example, the Combaticons, 2 MMC sets and then MAYBE the Zeta as well.

Triple changers. Ever since after FT Astrotrain, i've made it sacrosanct to at least get one for bot and one to flip around. Got 2 FT Springers pre-ordered, and i'll be getting another FT Astrotrain when I can.

Dinobots. Gonna get Gigapower's supposed metallic reissue, partly to stand in until I either get FT's off the secondary market or if they somehow do one more reissue of them. Afterward they'd most likely be delegated to dino mode. Though then again, I might just get 2 sets of Fans Toys', haha.

Other special cases. I'm considering getting another MP-36, for example, so I can have one for bot mode and one to mess with just so I don't chip the first one by transforming it, haha.

In another special case, I also have a second Figuarts base Goku at the ready. Since Jeice, who came out in December (and is currently sitting in Anime-Export's warehouse until more stuff arrives and either they can get it out or COVID restrictions on international shipping are lifted, whichever comes first), comes with an extra headpiece so he can become Captain Ginyu when he swapped bodies with Goku while on Namek.



Then that leaves the special cases. Which is what most likely the second Domey and Rewind would fall under. Also I accidentally chipped some paint on his thigh so I also solve a little issue right then and there, win-win, haha.

I got mine and after a few days I'm seeing the large wheel on one shoulder is too loose to stay up in robot mode. Anyone know how to stiffen that up? There's no visible pin or screw that I can see.

 

There’s a couple posts further back in this thread that address this. Basically, you need to unscrew the wheel from the other side to detach it from the shoulder, then unscrew the wheel itself and reset the screw. There are posts in this thread that explain it better with photos.

 

The addition of the holding hands really makes this set. I’m not sure if I’ll ever display them separate.
