$130 is a quite a difficult price for this pair. MMC is getting expensive here.

 

Special pandemic pricing. 20 dollars bump across the board judging by how Tortor was supposed to be 180 ......

October 1st however ..... seems like an unlikely date. Smells like a placeholder if there's one.

 

Hmm. I just don't like Mnemo, is what it comes down to. Not even that, I just don't like IDW Chromedome. I know the design is pretty much comic accurate, but the long, spindly legs and the "robot laying down" alt mode just don't inspire any love from me.

I'd maybe buy Rewind separately, but I think I'm passing on this. A good effort, and my criticisms are not really with the execution from MMC. But this is a rare hard pass from me.

 

I take it that "communications noggin" for Mnemo is the PSX incentive item?

 

I can take Mors at $180 and Tortor at $200, but somehow difficult to swallow the pair at $130.

 

Seriously? $130 is middle of the road for something like this nowadays.

 

Well supposedly this is how MMC makes money i.e. their big figures don't sell very well.

 

PSX usually doesn't preview the exclusive item (usually it's a surprise upon release), plus the BBTS release states "interchangeable head" as a product feature, so that should come standard.

 

Wow, then probably this pair doesn't convince me to spend $130.

Earthrise Scorponok is the great value of the year. 160 shipped. Yes, yes, yes, I realize it's 3rd party, but a Titan Class at 160 just puts a smile on your face.

 

I think it’s a great set, but for keeping the scale of my collection I’ll stick to KFC’s Rewind (here upset with the apparent beheading of chromy)

 

R-38 Ni & Foxwire is at $125
R-39 Ebrius & Gravus at $115.

 

Um.....so rewind alone costs an extra of $50. or I should blame the pandemic as @divinecomedy suggested

 

Still a pretty great price, if you ask me. More real estate than Nickel and The Pet, for only $5 more in comparison.

 

Yes, I have to buy Nickel and The Pet to complete DJD but can't really pull trigger on Ebrius & Gravus. Will most likely buy Mnemo and Motif though, even at $130. Just wish it is a little bit cheaper.

 

If you're not feeling the price, maybe it 's better to just skip it. No sense in trying to justify it with yourself if you're hung up on the price. Who knows, you might find something else that suits your needs.

 

I would never buy those overpriced sets. But I salute everyone who did. Your "sacrifice" makes it possible for the rest of us to get the choicest cuts at good prices.

Like a sushi restaurant really.

 

We're in the era of $50 legends so it's not too outlandish.
