Oh I get the reference you're asking for its just not possible with how mmc designed their toy or what it was intended to reference. The extra long neck in cotp was part of how Masame Obari drew the characters in that particular episode but isn't actually representative of how skylynx was normally illustrated in all the other eps which was based on the toys much more standard length neck.




Which mmc's takes its ques from. You'd need a very specific kind of neck design to get a much longer more obari style snake neck, probably have half of it telescope or something.

I think I'll stick with the 'Murica colors.

Though if someone had a picture of Feral Rex riding this guy in his Predaking colors with the Feral Queen on Rex's shoulders, I might be tempted.

 

I haven't designed any and have no intention of doing so nor do I believe mmc does in general.

I finally figured out what doesn't click in my mind with this figure. The teeth. Too small, too many. Looks creepy. Even if the cartoon had some instances like that, it didn't always and I don't like it. Creepy rows of tiny teeth are creepy.

 

They're not teeth. His mouth contains two ammo belts that feed the gun.

OTOH, this Longrack actually fits in the Reformatted design aesthetic, IMO.

 

I really want to wait til the complete set is out but am worried the lynx part will be sold out before CNY ... it was either this guy or PE’s Mega Dragon for rando year-end splurge and I went with the one-piece option ... hope I don’t regret it ;(

 

Toys incredibly popular even if all wave1 Magna's are long gone by Inverta's release mmc will make more eventually.

 

Yeah, assuming that Inventa's pre-orders are higher than Magna's, because of all the people sitting on the fence until they saw near-final photos or the final total price, if Magna sells out, MMC will probably do another run at the very least to match Inventa inventories at retailers.

 

Doubt it... If I was running the business I would make an equal ammount of the robot no matter what. I wouldn't even think of a second run until all the first run was at 90% gone.

 

I was thinking yesterday that MP Sky Lynx might be a good table if you put a ratan and canvas platter on top. But, you’d probably want to put him on his own footstool or short table so you can see him. Turtles SkyLynxes all the way down!  

Similarly, I think Lewin Resources’ Prime would look nice with a bowl of candy, mints, or candied mints in his arms, but that could be bad for joints throughout the whole arm.

Unless MMC can already see that they have more preorders for the Birb then the Kitten, unlikely as that may seem.

 

hopefully when the super chicken comes out his neck is rock solid.
