Does seem the best combiners to pair him with though will be MT's n Hasbros.

 

Looks great to me. As long as the pterosaur portion isn't insanely priced, I think I might get this. I think the scale with more figures is perfect.

 

I keep wavering on this guy. Im currently thinking he's too big for me. My best memories of him are from the Return of Optimus Prime episode where he was watching Prime be brought back to life; and he was much smaller in that scene. On the other hand, I do prefer vehicle scaling for my collection, rather than show accuracy.

So is there any word on the intent with this guy? Was he originally made for the Ox line, then shifted over to reformatted like the insecticons were? Im not sure it fits 100 percent into Reformatted aesthetically speaking..

Def want him though, maybe I'm just trying to talk myself out of it. I don't really like the look of the wings and I'm kinda worried about the connection between the two. A sliding T bar and a single clip don't seem to be sturdy enough considering his size.

 

Carnifex is about the same size as CW/UW Superion with the Perfect Effect feet on. Paik used to have CW Superion and that comparison is what sold me on Carnifex.

That resurrection of optimus scene skylynx was in his bird form sitting besides him and Inverta isn't so large on his own that he'll look bad next to MP10 I don't think.



It's like I said weeks ago he's basically a larger than average MP Dinobot so I reckon he'd look especially nice next to FansToys Dino's. He does hang around with the dinobots in the comics too at one point like he did in the Call of the Primitives ep.

As for him being in Reform, pretty sure that was always intended. Same guy who did mmc's DJD did this guy with some design alterations from one of the lead engineers I believe.

 

What abt the QC?? ... I dnt care abt scale, it’s a losing proposition in the TF realm, as long as this thing isn’t a pos build-wise I’ll bite no doubt ...

 

I think this could look nice with my UT Warlord, proportionally larger than the G1 toys rate, but he will give Predaking more of a fight. MMC Preds being a tad taller and bulkier may look even better, it seems it was designed to match him.
Although cool, I still think $120 for a well articulated brick is expensive, especially when you can get stuff like Open and Play Big Spring for half the price, but I may bite...

 

You want him to comment on the QC of a grey prototype?

 

I'm all in on this set,it will be my first double buy.
Size wise I'm very happy with it any bigger and it's not going to fit in my glass display cases.

 

So.. if some people overseas already have this.. how long before places like TCP get it in? A week? Two?

 

Oh man, I can't wait.

The only downside (if any) is that the bird mode's neck might be floppy, but other than that, this is still on top of my most anticipated release of the year list by longshot.
