Interestingly, the PSX listing a) no longer has free shipping b) is "Add to Cart" instead of "Preorder Now".

    Curious.

I can further corroborate this. Ordered one yesterday after reading this thread and it's gone to "shipped" within a day with a tracking number.

So, barring some bizarre technical error from PSX, would this be the first reported case of a 3P product releasing earlier than slated? Magna's not supposed to be due until October...

Inventa hasn't been listed anywhere yet, so we can only go by Magna's $120 USD price tag and assume the second part will be the same.

Not 100% sure, but I don't think the price of the what ever the other part is named has been released.

Except for shipping proximity, you're not going to find any benefits from the Asian retailers over the other major ones. MMC has standardized pricing across the board, and their main Asian retail point I believe is their own Planet Steel Express storefront.

[edit] Yeah, from a cursory glance, Asian retailers aren't really supported by MMC. Robotkingdom doesn't carry their stuff at all, and ebay sellers like Bababobo are actually more expensive than their North American retail list prices, probably because he's middle-manning, rather than getting his product wholesale.

Then I think Planet Steel Express will still be your best option, although as has been pointed out above, you've missed out on the free pre-order shipping.

MMC stopped selling to Robotkingdom years ago because of reasons (which I don't remember or never were announced), and PSX was their answer to having a prominent store in Asia. IIRC

Also, if you can find PSX's TaoBao listings, I think prices are cheaper there. Such as this: 【预订】MMC R35天豹 单体-淘宝网

I wouldn't even know where to begin how to work with TaoBao, so that didn't even come to mind, but you're probably right on that.

Yeah, I forgot it was MMC that had whatever dispute it was with Robot Kingdom. Was thinking it was somebody else for some reason (they don't carry Fansproject or Maketoys stuff, either).

Want to see what the PSX exclusive is. So don't want to lose out on it but I just don't have the funds for this with NYCC And TFCon's exclusives coming up.
