Just tested the neck on mine. 9 months still going strong. Zero flop. Still going to be putting him in my top10.

 

Same here. Given that some people are claiming the fix includes tightening screws, maybe some of them suffered from someone not properly doing something at the factory?

So, I FINALLY got around to adding some labels from the Reprolabels set to these guys. I didn't use all of the labels, but I ended up using more than I thought I would. What got me thinking a little more about the additional details was watching "Call of the Primitives" and the more Studio Ox style used in that episode. I figured if there may be just a few more details on Sky Lynx than on his character sheet, so I opted to add just a few more labels than I initially planned. I still ended up being more sparce, but I am thrilled with the end result. I snapped this photo quick during the label process in between finishing Inventa and starting on Magna:



I ended up using some Nasa logos just next to the Cybertronian font that sort of emulates the "UNITED STATES" lettering typically found on space shuttles.

I originally wasn't going to use the bird wing/feather labels (not pictured, since this is shuttle mode), but I ended up doing so for a few reasons:

• the Sunbow character sheet has feather details
• with the metallic labels, I really like how light catches on labels
• the bird wings look super plain without them

But anyways, I highly recommend both labels sets, especially if you really like these figures! I'll try to snap a few photos later of both of my figures.

It literally came in today (I've taken some photos, just have to do some minor editing and upload them, though I've got work tomorrow, so I'm not sure when I will get around to it).

 

If the rumored Earthrise Skylynx pans out, you may see some people dumping theirs in favor of that.
It may be beneficial to wait a while as you could possibly get it from someone on the boards cheaper than retail.
I know I only have the 'cat box' so far and I'd consider it if I see pictures of the Hasbro version; if it is indeed true.

 

Follow your cat, where ever he's crapping is probably the cat box. Just don't look suspicious when you tail him .

I don't normally go for reprolabels, but I'm sorely tempted to get this set just for the gold bits on the side of the shuttle.

 

Honestly dont know how Hasbro can beat this one, for me its just perfect. Will not say it cant be done, I just dont know how they could do it.

 

They're nice. It's hard to tell in photos but they actually have a slight relief so the squares are raised. Makes him look really nice.

 

that's because they can't beat this. there is no way on earth they could build a better set of bots.

 

Well I am sure they can make one where the neck does not drop. Not sure why there's no budget for that.
