Personally I hate Skylynx being that big. Prefer him the size he was in Return of Optimus Prime.

My only problem with that is he didn't really mass shift when he went from combined shuttle to sky lynx. If he's just space chicken and space kitty, then in my head, I'm ok with him being smaller... like when he would be split apart battling the predacons, he was their size*. The other thing that makes that particular frame so... let's call it "unique"... is the size of ironpaw or whatever his name is. Come on, he's in scale with Grimlock :D

Skylynx with a long snout/beak, Snarl with a sedated grin, Grimlock and Steeljaw at similar size (half of Snarl's) - oh my.
Granted, the action scene animations have a lot of ooomph, but when viewed as stills, this episode is one of the worst. Guess you just can't have it all.

I went and pulled the trigger last night and ordered both from TFsource. Should get here Wednesday. I’ve been a long time middle fence on this guy but he just looks so darn good. And MMC has a good record with me.

It's been a few weeks and my neck is still holding pretty well.

I really do think this is the second best mold MMC has ever produced, just behind their Overlord.

Do it!! I just did that exact thing. They arrived today from TFsource, and I’m totally loving them. MMC has just taken me by the handles with these two.

Not great pictures as I was only able to open them tonight but I’m insanely happy these these!

I got half of mine today. I'm impressed. His neck holds fine. His size would be awe inspiring if I didn't collect Gigapower Dinobots.

Only had time for a quick pic.

Well I got some time with Sky and yeah.... the neck doesn't hold after all. Looks like I'm doing the fix. The unwanted surprise is that the base of the tail is also loose. Both the neck and tail need ratcheted base joints.

This guy is still impressive. He's 22.5 inches/57cm wide with his wings outstretched. Each wing is 10 inches/25.4cm long. He is forcing me to build my action base 1 stand so I can get some flight poses. I'll buy Magna in a week to finish this beast.

    Some pics...

So, I've given this some time, and I'm thinking of buying it.
Am I correct that it - at least initially - came as two separate pieces? Is this still the only way to buy it?

yes, it is still a 2 part meal. but most US sellers have both pieces instock. i would recommend Toydojo because they are the absolute best hands down plus he will ship for free. but buy from whoever you please.

Well, yes, Toy Dojo is definitely the shee-yit, so if I order domestically, it'll probably be from them or TCP.

Getting this bird to fly without a spot for a flight stand is a chore. Does Lynx have a spot for any sorta stand?

Looks like I'll be buying a couple of clear action base 1 stands to hold hoist these up.

I was wondering what can hold this guy up too. I would really like to find something to hold the full combined mode but the bottom lynx half is just way too heavy for any sort of stand.

I'm very happy. I don't know how Fedex estimates their delivery times for Ground but my replacement Inventa came a few days earlier than expected. BBTS came through for me in getting a replacement. Love those guys. I love THIS guy, holy shit.

The success was short lived as the neck is now flopping and won't hold up at all. I suspect the nail polish has worn off and may be acting as a greasing agent around the neck peg. I'm going to have to find the time to clean the peg and tighten the screw even more but contemplating to add a stronger substance than nail polish to create the needed friction at the neck base point. Does anyone know if Araldite is damaging to plastics?

why don't u try Future? That's better than nail polish in my experience.
