Neck on mine does droop a bit if left strsight out and you nudge the head but when bent straight up it holds fine.

Cant wait til reprolabels does a set for space chicken to complement the one they did for space kitty.

Played with this guy the while weekend, and it may just be my second favorite mold after MMC's Overlord. It's so unique and unlike anything else. Sky Lynx really is a mold everyone should own if they have room for it. I don't collect Masterpiece or CHUG, I collect what looks awesome to me, so this buying and splaying this might be easier for me than others. I'm not above putting him with my MOTUC Evil Horde.

did you take the 2 side glass panels out of your detolf? If so how's the integrity of the whole thing, that's an interesting concept and not a bad idea to make a few things for mine work better

I also cut the ends off the top and bottom pieces to bring then closer together and then bolted then together. It's a fairly common mod. Seems to hold up alright as far as I can tell. I haven't heard of anybody else doing the mod and having it fail.

Thanks, but you might not think so if you saw it up close. I'm relatively short (5'7") so I can't see the top but if I could, the metal plates I used to bolt the pieces together would probably bother me. The "correct" way to do it would be to start with a new piece of wood cut to the right size and with channels for the glass cut in with a router, but I don't have the tools nor the work space for that kind of thing, nor do I have the patience. Someday I'll buy a proper display case, but for now I'm spending my "fun money" on toys. Maybe once I've finished my collection, I'll divert my fun budget to a better way to display them.

It should be fine.. It's not like your eyes will be drawn to the plates, but rather to the pieces on display, right? Good job! :)

Just want to chime in that I got my Inventa from The Chosen Prime and he has no issues tabbing in or with his neck. This is a seriously cool figure.

Anyone know where the screw covers that came with Inventa/bird part of Sky Lynx go?

Do they only go on Inventa/shuttle? Or do some go on the Lynx/Magna part?

    Thx

they are just extras that they shipped with him. there is nothing in particular that needs to be recovered. it is just in the event that some have popped out during transport.

Okay, first of all, boy was I unprepared for the size of this guy. He is massive. As the kids call it nowadays, "an absolute unit." Magna's heavier, and that's for the best, but while Inventa might be lighter due to less diecast and more hollowness from the transformation, he absolutely towers over the vast majority of my collection, bar like... T30 Metroplex.

And then they combine and he gets even bigger.

Anyone who still thinks this figure needs to be bigger than this, please provide justification as well as a place you plan to put him because in my honest opinion, he's big enough already.

Neck on mine is pretty stable. It'll droop if you shake him, but otherwise it holds. He's a lot of fun to fiddle with, especially the head. He's so delightfully expressive in spite of his non-humanoid face. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I prefer his wings in the fashion MMC intended them-- it makes him look more dragon-like.

All in all, I'd call it a satisfactory purchase. I'm delighted to have a properly updated Sky Lynx in my collection and I'd fully recommend him... provided you've got the space for him.

Got this guy today. I like him a lot. He looks great and has real presence.

My cat likes him too. Keeps rubbing his face against him. The neck is holding up real well to kitty head butts.

Finally got around to doing the neck fix. I was able to only partially drill through the screw covers and pull them out, so I could flip them and reinsert them. The neck never fell on its own but now it holds up well even under a little pressure. It'll still drop it I shake it more than a little but it's much better than it was.

I wanted to open his head so I could install gold foil over his eyes but I couldn't get it apart. I think it's glued together.

Got Inventa on monday. Loose neck like most folks

Did griffin’s fix. Got a drill bit set for $9, another $11 for an adapter for my dremel. Real easy to do, the drilling takes five seconds

    Holds fine now
