Didn't see a pictorial review, so took it upon myself.

I like this dude a lot. Everyone of these figures thus far has been a home for me.

    Pros:
    • Great Wingspan
    • Nice stature
    • Top notch poseability
    • Fun and intuitive Transform
    • Being able to put the wings on Leo Dux
    • Wing poseability alone is awesome.

    Cons:
    • Arm mode looks a tad small without the other arm to compare it to
    • Would've like the mouth of the eagle to be able to open and expose robots face like the g1 Toy, but given the poseability of the head bird head, I can understand how that wouldn't work out.
    • Sniper rifle was smaller than I expected
    • A tad thick in eagle mode, but that's minor in my opinion.

    I recommend!

An insignia on the chest helps a lot, that's what that indentation is there for...

The Golden Eagle - TFSource Article

He was supposed to be first, but he is coming out fourth. Mastermind Creations (or MMC) are about to unleash R-02 Mercenary Aerial Assaulter Talon on the fandom at large, representing their interpretation and considerable update of the Transformers G1 Predacon Divebomb. Talon is the fourth member of Feral Rex (MMC’s Not-Predaking) after R-03 Bovis (Not Tantrum), R-05 Fortis (Not Headstrong) and R-04 Leo Dux (Not Razorclaw). Here we have an advance copy of Talon for your viewing pleasure. Ladies and gentlemen, the eagle is landing.

There is a forum for non-video reviews right above this one. This might look nice there.

Great article, as always. Totally agree that adding Talon to Feral Rex for the first time is a glorious moment, when you realize just how grand this mothereffer is.

Great article as always, can't believe how many music references you crammed in there...

Great to see you loving Talon, as I've said many times he's easily the most fun and most impressive feral con to date, which is no small thing to do!

Love the article, so detailed with so many beautiful photos. You've outdone yourself once more mighty Maz!

Talon looks to be such an incredible figure with the pose ability, the sniper rifle and the wings!

Another great, detailed and informative article Maz. I get the feeling you like the Feral Cons, but I'm not quite sure?!?

A great read as usual, Maz. I'm not on the Rex train, as I'm not a great fan of the beast modes or colours; I know that they are accurate, but I was never much of a Predacons fan as a kid. The bot mode are great, I have to say, and they clearly understand how to do weapons far better than Hasbro and Takara.

Great read Maz, your enthusiasm for this guy really shines through in the article. I strongly share the love for Talon, such a brilliant figure. Its really hard to try and pick a favourite Feral con, I mean they all bring something special to the table but like you said this guys silhouette is something special..............them wings **drools** might just make this guy the winner!

Not sure if that was an instruction or a request, either way I'll use it as an opportunity to wheel out some recent pics. :)
No figure has inspired as much as Talon to go and get creative.

Haha I was wondering how many people would clock onto the song titles in the comments and what it was from :D

It's a really close tie for me with Talon and Leo Dux as to the technical "best" transformer. I'll say this, it speaks volumes about the Feralcons that every time I pick one up I think "No, THIS one is my favourite" and rinse and repeat for every subsequent one I pick up. I can't think of another combiner team that has ever made me feel that way. Last group of toys that did that to me were the Autobot G1 cars.

Yeah as Dan says, to leave this figure as Predaking's backpack is a real waste. I can completely understand why folks are buying multiples.

    I blame bad influences.

You know I was never a Predacon fan as a kid either, mostly because I didn't know they existed. Fast forward to 1999/2000 and seeing the Predaking giftset in Offworld's Luton shop in the UK and I was fascinated by the combiner I never knew existed. Then I saw s3 episodes and got online, understanding what the deal was. G1 Predaking was a big deal when I completed him in my G1 collecting back in the early 2000s, and I've had another reissue since. But, this is the one. I never need another Predaking now, Feral Rex is it.

I was COMPLETELY thinking of these amazing pictures and your scary tree dive story when I wrote that paragraph :lol
