Has anyone bought the Toyhax set for these guys? I did today on sale.

I've never bought a set for MP/3P. Do they come with more than one set of chest decals? One with Con logos and etc?

im intrigued in getting this set at some point. I've had the fanstoys ones(minus Kickback) and there was something about them despite how great they look was meh to me... these guys look like a meticulously condensed version of the fans toys ones PLUS chrome on their legs like their g1 toys! and loving how they look with official MPs

Picked these guys up back in January at teh OCC, they are awesome... really solid, super tight joints... certainly a lot more weight and diecast to them then I had expected and at the price point you can't go wrong. Never played with the FT versions.. but couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money on insecticons.... but these guys.. are very articulated... more than required in bug mode.. I do agree with what a few people have said in that they feel MMC rushed them... ie no hand swivels on the kickback and shrapnel... and I will admit.. how their hands pull out is not one of my favorite things... but the chrome is excellent... and in all the right spots. Excellent mp version of the g1 toys.. in my opinion and have no regrets buying them.

I'd buy the set for less < $100.

I have both badcube version sets + the FT set. I like the bugs but personally I like the FT set the most look wise. I'd be buying the MMC set just for fun and if they were cheap, but I'm not a huge fan of the asthetic...

I like my set, more than my FansToys set that I sold actually. FansToys were more "premium" but these guys clean up better in bot mode so I'm happier with them. My biggest bother is that the purple on this set is so dark.

I got these guys in hand yesterday. Very solid figures. Kickback's right leg kept collapsing so I folded the bug mode feet inside the legs and that solved the problem completely. My only real gripe is the red paint on the visors/eyes. IMG_20180315_172853.jpg IMG_20180315_165348.jpg

Hate that this set isn't getting much love. Also some say there's no diecast but diecast is in the feet of each robot

I want a set that I can flip back forth between modes without worrying about them breaking.

I wouldn't worry about them breaking. They are solid. They are however, a huge pain in the ass. Not fun or, memorable in the transformation department.

    They look great, though.

These also appear to be around $190 USD for the set. Ooof. That's a lot for bugs.

Yeah I noticed. I checked Taobao and they're cheaper at around $140 before shipping.

My gf got my set from Agabyss Xmas Sale. Although I like the heftiness of the FT bugs, I prefer MMC's engineering in the bug legs management. Having owned all 3 sets, I feel MMC is a good compromise in aesthetics and transformation comparing to BC and FT. Here's some comparison shots between them.

I got mine used during a flash sale. If you hold out, you can usually find them for cheap.

The facesculpt on FT Kickback is just so weird. Why is his chin so wide? Also he can't even look up without his head splitting open and he is fragile AF. Sure he is heavy as hell and has nice paint on his legs. Big Whooptie Doo. I'll take MMC Kickback any day of the damn week.
