Not only has the wait for Alpha and Beta felt like ages, it's actually been ages.

Wing's altmode is too pretty to never see the light of day again!

 

The Garatron one does an admirable job keeping faithful to the artwork, but the alt mode ends up looking like a small nose cone attached to thick rectangular box, which is somewhat unfortunate. MMC's is a completely new design, but manages to distribute the bulk more evenly throughout.

I think it'd be great if they could reduce the backpacks on both Alpha and Beta, but only if doing so doesn't mess with the rest of their looks, because otherwise their aesthetics basically look perfect to me. And I especially hope that the alt modes don't get messed with much at all, because I love Beta's crazy, jagged space car, and Alpha's is just pretty to look at.

 

Drift and Wing (or whatever his name is) are "good guys" so they are way down on MMCs list.  

 

I think we're jumping to conclusions with saying they're MIA. MMC's Overlord was revealed in Sept. of 2013, but the next time we had an update on him was what? April of 2015 wit their April Fool's joke? We didn't even see a prototype until TFCon Toronto of 2015 if I recall correctly. These guys seem to be on track for MMC's slow burner reveals.

 

I hope MMC with still produce Alpha/Beta and Stratosfear. Love those designs!

 

give them another couple of years and you will see prototypes of them   mmc , fansproject( they still about?) , fanstoys , xtb and kfc can all take their time .. fans toys seems to get the most shite off fans for being slow but truth be told all of the mentioned can be really bad and actually slower than ft in some cases

 

Oh don't get me wrong, it felt like a solid well built figure. Aesthetically it's just not for me. It's hard to describe, but there's certain design choices (especially the chest) that bother me. It's like the sculpt is too soft and rounded opposed to the aggressive/angular sculpts of MT, MMC, GT, and PE that I prefer.

 

I was worried you were going to say it felt cheap or fragile. Aesthetically i can see where you're coming from, personally i prefer that they're sticking closer to the comics than MMCs more stylized take, but too each their own. Thanks for your opinion nonetheless.

 

Nah nothing like that. It just won't fit in my collection the way the MMC render would. It's good to have options.

 

Oooooohhhh the geewunner in me likes the Pretender. Was on the fence about the GOD version, but I'm in no rush. I'll wait for MMC's.

 

As much as I would love an MMC Thunderwing, I'm going to spring for Garatron (although I predict massive delays on that front too). We all learned from iGear Presser how much a digital render means in this biz...

 

Yeah, the designer got another shot at it and made Spartan. LOL.

 

Tis true! Although I kinda liked the Presser render better than Spartan! Love Spartan but he's not squat & bruiser-ish enough for Impactor. He should be slightly shorter & more squat than Generations Springer. I would still buy Presser if someone snagged the design.

 

Id love to see them make a Deathsaurus after seeing him in MTMTE. The rest of the LL crew they havnt gotten to yet. Ooh,ooh and blurr from Spotlight:Blurr

 

Maybe for G1.

MMC's Impactor is pretty darn accurate to the comics. I had and still have no interest in that G1 version. Especially since G1/marvel comic Impactor means nothing to me.

IDW made me actually care about a lot of characters that I wouldn't have otherwise. Same thing with Overlord - have negative interest in the G1 guy who has cancer in his breasts or something or another.

 

I hope stratosfear is carnifaxes size

He was huge in the comics

There is an awesome (more superior in my opinion and accurate since he isn't a pretender) one coming out soon - but I am thinking he will scale correctly with legends figures. Not anything deluxe/voyager and up.

 

Carnifax scale would make him close

 

Scale seems a little all over the place (as per usual I guess) - that first picture makes him look like belongs in a legends display (most probably where I am sticking mine), but the second picture with Galvatron makes him look smaller.
