Zero chance of that. This will be 2014, 3rd or 4th quarter at best.

They are committed to finishing Feral Rex, then the femmebots, and then they have Seraph / Nova.

 

So it depends if they do this or Seraph first, based on their analysis of the market, if this will come out in Christmas 2014, or Seraph will. Of course, I made up the Christmas part, but it was to say mid to end 2014 for one figure

 

I am expecting late 2014/early 2015.

Seraph first please. I can wait a bit longer for Carnifex

 

Looking forward to this; will of course need a 3rd party/MP Pipes to go with him...or a G1 junker.  

I hope he's about the same height as Hexatron or possibly slightly taller. As long as he has an IDW-like face & head then I'm not fussed about what the rest of him looks like or what he turns into.

Hell, if he has the right facial expression too (I'd like him to be smiling...Overlord smiling is much scarier than him angry) then who needs Megatron anyway...well, obviously Overlord does. I'd pose him meeting every Leader-class Megs I own, all at once...

Edit: Carnifex, eh? Nice Roman reference to go with his classical-statue IDW face...also, I shall pose him reading certain Gene Wolfe books.

I asked yesterday for MMC to make Overlord....making the BTS release redundant in my eyes at least......and only a day later Cassy and MMC ride to the rescue.

I have no real love for the character, but visually he is awesome looking.

I guess there will be no vent issues in jet mode.....

 

Overlord in Masterforce was basically just another generic badguy in a low budget 80s anime.

But in Last Stand of the Wreckers Nick Roche made him in to one of the most compelling villains the franchise has seen to date. To sum him up in a single word, he's a psychotic.

He kills for fun, he makes others kill for fun and he laughs while doing so. He's the closest thing the Transformers has ever seen to a "Joker" (from Batman) type character to date. Unlike Megatron who does what he does out of some desire to make the universe the way he wants it, Overlord does what he does because he enjoys it and doing anything else would bore him.

If it scales well with Hasbros springer and perfect effects fort max then they I will definitely be in need of one.
The throne would be a cool bonus, make it card stock so that way it can be slipped into the boxes as a first run incentive.

 

Awww yeah. This is relative to my interests. My Classics Wreckers need a baddie to stand against them in their display and Carnifex would be perfect.
