Doubtful, or not, This is games workshop. the company who will DQ you from a tournament if you have a visible tattoo of their IP on your body.

The company who pushed hard, recently, to trademark the word "space Marine". yes they failed, but they spent resources attempting this.

GW is the most stringent, obsessive, neurotic company when it comes to anything involving their IP. they will toss litigation in any direction if they think it in any shape, form or fashion might help them "protect their creation"

believe me, if ANYONE threatened MMC, and that lead to the name change, it was GW.

 

Games Workshop are insane, yes, but they're not that insane to try and trademark a Latin term that even has a crocodilomorph named after it. That's bloody Fine Brothers level of "Stupid" and "Are going to get murdered in court".

Additionally, leaving the R off isn't going to make it so you can't be sued anyway. Sure it'd work with Megatron, given Megaton is a thing, but Megatro? Meatron? Probably not so much

I sometimes wonder if I am a machine, as I feel nothing for this... guess I need to get the comics to understand, not sure if there is a book that has all.

But all your responses are absolutely hilarious, so I got to hang in this thread and appreciate them, and laugh

Lol, I am with you. I don't have a good enough understanding or connection with the character, but LOVE the responses from you guys.

 

 

zfarsh - do you have any kind of e-reader, or digital device that has a e-reader type of app, thingy?

I read my comics on my kindle fire with comicat (Amazon.com: ComiCat (Comic Reader/Viewer): Appstore for Android)

And with it being an adroid device, stuff is easy to drag and drop/remove at will via USB to my PC.

If you were to ever get into the comics and don't want to spend the extra money for paper copies (also, if you don't have the space and/or just don't want to collect physical comics), this is a great, cheaper alternative.

The humble bundle store is what got me originally into reading this stuff. They had some kind of mega sale with a ton of issues for super cheap. Was posted here on the boards a year or so back.

I'm not sure if this is allowed so I won't say much, but if you happen to have a friend who has digital copies, maybe he would .rar 'em/send 'em your way (again sorry mod's - no ill will meant - not sure if this is considered "piracy").
