It's awful plastic quality compared to the previous wave of Generations figures, and downright laughable compared to the plastic used by 3P.

I own the Takara (so, better than Hasbro) version of Leader Magnus. Again, great design ruined by TERRIBLE HOLLOWED-OUT GARBAGE PLASTIC.

I so deeply and thoroughly hate MMC. Because I never cared for the G1 toy, never really cared for his character, and I absolutely have no place for this figure in my collection.

And here we are again, MMC makes such a beautiful figure which likely will be the same amazing quality as the other Reformatted figures and I just want it. I doesn't fit with my collection goals, I don't care about the character, money spent on this will mean I won't be buying something else...but still I want it.

I must hate MMC for what they make me do  

 

I've not been reading the IDW comics or buying third party toys very long, but the more I see of this guy, the more I have to have him. No matter the cost.

So incredible. I really hope it comes out this year but I won't get my hopes up. Now that Stomp has been released this guy skyrocketed to the very top of my most wanted list. It was sold for me when I read the thread title "MMC Overlord" before any pictures were even released.

 

the purple varied a bit between versions on G1, but this is more reddish-purple from these pics. It looks really nice though.

 

I think this will be the first and possibly only 3rd party Masterpiece I will buy.. So incredible

 

Well, if "nothing wants to tab in and I can see through the plastic if there is a light source behind" is awesome, than he's awesome   again, the design is great, execution... not so much.

I'm not saying Takara's plastic quality is better, I know it's the same. I'm saying the figure is overall better than Hasbro's version because it features a ton more paint, and it's still awful because of the awful plastic used and the fact that almost every surface on the figure is a hollowed-out mess.

 

It's amazing what some color can do for a mold. Carnifex looks amazing!

Enjoy it! I never had any kind of "moral" debates with myself. Instantly got into 3P as I got into the hobby itself.

Looks fantastic in color. Makes me wonder if we might even see preorders for this guy sometime this year.

In any event, MMC has my dollars whenever they're ready.

 

I just like the official product. I like the designers input behind it. I love the boxes especially... even the instruction booklets.
I will possibly get this because Takara will take like 5 years at best to get to it.
Perfect representation of my favourite character from MTMTE.
I'd get the whole DJD aswell if I had major coin lol.

 

Tank mode looks like a ridiculous kids toy but honestly, who wouldn't have this impressive figure displayed in robot mode? This looks like the biggest win of the reveals today.

 

I guess this is the difference between 3P diehards and moderates. Hasbro's might not have as much going on, but that "horrible hollow plastic" is what makes the figure affordable.

 

I'm kinda curious how is overlord in the idw world?
