Interesting... I received an email from ShowZ to pay my balance... I assume that means they at least got some stock. Did you get an invoice? Did you contact ShowZ directly? I don't want to pay my balance if it's not actually in stock soon... I have too many other invoices to pay.

 

OstOgBajer okay! So! I have NOT received an invoice from SHOWZ actually! Only place that did give me a Invoice was HEATTOY. I think I also pre-ordered on TFS Express? Not sure. But Heat toy was the only one! HeatToy even gave me a personal Message its arrive to their warehouse now. 

 

I was among the first to pre-order so I guess they are getting a small batch that I got in on.

 

Hopefully We Get it! I\'ve been waiting for this since 2018! @_@ crazy how all the sudden its available,  without any warning or demonstration demo or anything!

 

Rejected to take delivery of mine from the first batch. They are probably rushed by the workers as the factories are already closing for the new year.

 

Not sure it's just me, but the individual bots in bot and alt mode are kind of weak imo.

I'm a big mm fan and have picked up all of their releases (except for pm Prime) and I gotta say, their individual bits sort of look like after thoughts. Maybe it's because I've been in the magic square and new age legends threads but they've pretty much proven that even if something is small, it doesn't mean it can't still be a Masterpiece.

I kinda feel the individual modes don't look great and don't even have the SD vibe the combined mode is supposed to have.

I'm on the fence as to whether I should pull the trigger. I've got the kid logic devastator already, plus a make toys set? I think? Buried somewhere brand new in pkg. That is also SD. While I love mm and know their product will be top quality, just not sure.

 

same dilemma for me as well. was one of my most anticipated 2021 releases, but i don’t know, something about him that’s holding me back. i’ll wait for some video reviews to see. seems like the new batches will be awhile anyways so i think we have time to hold out a bit.

Based on your experience? Or did your seller tell you that? Just curious as to whether this is a regular occurrence in general.

 

General consensus from the WeChat folks. Chance to ‘win a prize’ is way higher. I personally do not order anything before and after CNY (also 11/11) too but more due to shipping delays and lost shipments.

 

I went in on the MM line when this guy went up for pre-order last year... So I have five on my shelf now. But I think it was an emotional decision.

Now that he's here I'm not really all that excited... And am debating selling the others. They're great figures, but I dunno. I don't have the feels for them like I do my G1 MP collection. That money could be better spent elsewhere...

But do I sell them, take a hit and only get 2/3 of my money back, or just keep them and have even less money for my G1 MP and 3A collecting?

Ugh...

This is a ridiculous hobby...

 

Man, that box is lame. Displaying them in their most uninteresting mode; if I were to stumble upon this in a store I would probably laugh at the price.  

I hadn’t preordered this yet, so looks like I am also going to wait until after Spring festival to get this.

Agreed on the box/packaging, of all their releases this is the worst one, yet its the most expensive! Their other releases look like they tried, this one literally looks like something you would pick up at a liquidation/closeout store....

 

Damn that looks pretty cool, usually I’m pretty burnt out on Devastator due to his over saturation, but this look like something I’d enjoy

Edit: Maybe I’ve missed it while looking through this thread, but are there alternative small heads for the individual bots, like there is for the combined mode?

 

No, so, if there are, then they’re a surprise that MasterMade is keeping deep under wraps, so... I think it’s safe to presume that there aren’t going to be be optional smaller heads for the individual Constructicons.

 

for those saying they don't like the individual bots in this set, yes these aren't this set's strong point. but i think they aren't that bad either, and are in line with their other non-transforming mini-figs they've included with their other releases. and these actually transform and also combine which is more than you can say for those. but i guess you can't make everyone happy.  

 

I wish MasterMade would rerelease their Soundwave and Ravage separately, since I already have their Megs from their Trypticon.... 

 

Soundwave (with Laserbeak) is the best of all the minifigs. I bought the set just for him. I mean, the others are cool, but not must haves.

Still, it's a pity the Constructicons are so much bigger than these. If the 10cm they wrote on their Weibo is accurate, then they are like half the size of Apollo.
