Well, looks like it is now confirmed, the upgrade will work for Titan ;) . At least I think...

Looks goofy with the new head but I'm super excited for all the other upgrade parts that will come with it!

Overall, both the SD looks and upgrade kit looks cool!
However, since they're going with the non-SD head/face, I'll be more excite if they took the G1 looks approach. Just give Metro a new shoulder antenna with attached black blaster, a pair of the red single barrel blaster, another cannon on the back, his minions Scamper, Sixgun, Slammer. Of course mini-UM must include as well, lol. That would've been perfect for me to throw my money for the set. Ok, I'm dreaming now, hehee.

Looks awesome! But is that definitely an upgrade kit or is it a new bot? Cause even the legs are test shot grey...

I'm wondering if it's an all new mold... I never tried, but I can't imagine it's as easy to pull off Titan's head as it is Apollo's...
Same with the Statue Series Apollo, I won't be getting this. I'm perfectly happy with SD 'Plex.

But more mini dudes! Seekers, Coneheads, Soundwave... Ravage and Laserbeak!? That's incredible. I really hope they're sold separately and not included with the Statue Series releases because, as I said, I won't be getting those.

All in all, it's great to see Mastermade has more in store after Scorponok. Looking forward to it!

Wow, those new little guys look absolutely amazing! Yeah, I hope Master Made sell them individually too. And hopefully, UMagnus, Prime, and Megatron are released separate too. Speaking of UM, if they release him individually, Master Made can improve his articulation to match the others and they need to give him his blue eyes as well! If UM has blue eyes, that would've given me a reason to get their SD Metroplex earlier even though I prefer a G1 style Metro over a Generation Metro, lol.

    Another view angle of Metroplex:

Looks like the bust for Titan works the same way as the Apollo version. It 'caps' onto the torso. You can see the slight difference in shade on the grey proto.

That bust is sweet. I'll attach the shoulder guns and other small guns to Titan and have the bust with the non-SD head displayed in another shelf.

Trying to understand whats happening here.

So these new parts for titan are add ons like with apollo?

This is not an entirely new/retooled titan?

If this is not a new figure, why is the upgraded titan body also grey?

Any help will be much appreciated. A few things held me back from getting titan at release (big head and lack of 5mm compatibility). The latest re-release I think has the same ports as the original. Maybe this new grey body has 5mm standard now? So confused...

I don't think anyone really knows, honestly. I have Titan, and his head is connected by a ball joint. I haven't really deeply inspected the engineering, but I'm not sure how easy it'd be to simply swap the head with the smaller version.
It's possible they'll re-engineer the figure to more easily integrate the head-swap, thus the grey Titan. But right now, it's hard to say until we get more news. Though I'm pretty sure the smaller head will be a separate release as part of their Statue Series like with Apollo. (Unless it's a two pack with Titan and the add-ons.)
Either way, chances are they'll be re-releasing Titan before the add-on parts are released, but whether that means a more-or-less entirely new figure or just a reissue remains to be seen.

EDIT: But looking at it again, I have no idea why they'd need to completely re-engineer the figure since the grey Titan is exactly the same as regular Titan, so I genuinely don't know. Time to play the waiting game...

The ball joint in Titan's head is 10mm. So if the smaller head is ball jointed and can accommodate that ball joint size; it should be doable. I pop the head off when transforming to base or carrier mode. Or doing the small head SDF-1 look in bot mode.

Recently got Titan, and he came with 2 small metal pieces (not batteries). Anyone know what they are for?

The very small (rectangular) metal plates probably fell off the head crown. It's attached by magnets. If I have time, I'll take a shot of it.

I picked up the omega supreme and trypticon recently and love em. Thinking of picking this guy up as well and just wondering, for those that have all 3, how does he stack up?

Ive read some reviews that say metroplex is just kinda average and not as good as the newer releases. What do you guys think?

What would you think he's worth second hand?

    Opinions greatly appreciated.
