Okay big update everybody. Did the Metrowest Walmart loop.

Hudson had nothing. The Velocitron figures are in the back but nobody would go get them.

Leominster had two Velocitron Overrides. I bought one. There is still one there. There are hooks for the deluxes, but when an associated checked the inventory, it said they had none, so it's likely the case sold out already.



Boylston
-I GOT COSMOS! He was not on the shelf but the Toy Asile had the plans for putting out new figures. So I asked an associate and he went into the back and brought out the case. Indeed, there is one Cosmos in the case. Unfortunately, having seen the inventory, it looks like Walmart ONLY gets one case of 8 figures. So until they restock, Boylston won't have Cosmos. However if you want the other figures, they'll be here. I also picked up Road Hauler from here a few days ago, so there is likely one more in the back, as well as Override.



I skipped Northborough and Framingham this loop, however when i went there a few days ago, they inventory tracker the associates have said it was on the pallete in the back.

In short, they're opening up the pallets and finally starting to put stuff on shelves in the state. If you want Cosmos, considering it is one-per-store (ridiculous), you're going to have to make it a priority the next couple of days and ask associates to get it for you.

My advice? Go there with the barcode, get them to scan it. If it shows 8 in the back, ask them to get it. if they refuse, be nice, then find someone else to do it and tell them "another associate said I should ask someone to go to the back and get it." Worked for me (it's what happened, I asked a pharmacist and told me to ask someone once she confirmed they had it.

Gonna be frank though, if you're hoping to find Cosmos on a whim, it's not gonna happen unless you get lucky. Because getting him took me doing the big loop twice, a hudson-northborough-framingham loop 5 times in the past 10 days. That's a lot of gas.

If I happen to find another somehow, my offer stands: I'll sell it to you for MSRP + 6.25% sales tax (Mass sales tax). You just have to meet me to exchange figure for funds. But the one I have is going in my collection (fuck scalpers).

So I am throwing in the towel on finding Cosmos out in the wild. Did a stop at two Wal-Marts near me yesterday that had the resets done and starting to unload the pallets and at each one saw fellow collectors chomping at the bit for Clampdown and Cosmos. Basically sounded like they will be doing the circuit the next few days so I doubt I will ever see Cosmos or Clampdown. Since I am really only wanting Clampdown to finish off the Lambos, I caved to the Evilbay on one which was shockingly not ridiculously over priced at $39.99. I figure paying the gotta have it now tax of $15 was cheaper in the end of wasting more money on gas searching (and less time spent with the wifey) even though I know Clampdown should be repacked in Wave 2.

All that said, I also did see two Velocitron Scourge on shelves at the first Wal-Mart I visited but left them both since I have them preordered on Pulse and didn't want to waste time in check out in order to get to the second.

 

I saw one Red Cog at Hadley Target about an hour ago.

I told myself I wasn’t going to do, but I still stopped on my way home at my local Wallyworld. Still in the process of unpacking the pallets and no Velocitron deluxes. One Scourge gone from yesterday and since I was not going to my other one near me, I picked up the other. Three Overide and Green Grapples were also there until I toke one of each. My Hasbro Pulse preorders of those have now been canceled and since Cosmos is the only one left of the Velocitron Wave 1 I haven’t secured yet…I will still stop by there on my home from work tomorrow. I hate being secretive aboot sharing where I got these but I blame Wallyworld and Hasblo for short packing Cosmos.

I apologize to everyone hunting a Cosmos, I swung by the Lunenburg Walmart and found him on top of the shelf. Clampdown, Hauler and Scourge weren't there, and there are 2 Burn-outs, Blurrs(on top of shelf) and a Road rocket for deluxe class, and 2-3 Overrides (a kid was debating on getting her). Other figures of interest are 3 SS BB Arcees and 2 SS BB Ironhides, and a fair amount of legacy beast exclusives and wave 1 (I did see a dragstrip)

 

Good news. Framingham Walmart is opening up the cases. I just grabbed a Speedia Scourge there. There are two left (which means someone bought one since they come in cases of 2).
No deludes or voyagers, so I’m guessing they are not in the shelf yet due to how many existing legacy Wave 1 deluxes and Walmart exclusives are shelf warming. So if you’re looking for cosmos, I’d head there now and ask an associate to get the case. It should be accessible now. Just use the barcode I linked above. And let’s not scalp cosmos, friends.


This ends the biggest “hunt” I’ve been on in years. Discovered and went to Walmarts I didn’t even know existed. I gotta say, it was pretty fun but it was stressful, and I’m glad we can just mostly pre-order now. Old style hunts like 13 years ago are just exhausting.

Salem Wal-Mart has redone their toy section and has some Velocitron figures. They have 2 Haulers, 2 Road Rockets, and a Blurr and a Burn Out

 

Was just about to post the same about Salem Walmart. Already reset and picked clean.

Danvers Walmart hasn't done their reset, and I can't find the planogram for where they're moving to.

 

Hey everyone, North Attleboro Walmart restocked last night. I went when they opened (had heard from an employee over the weekend they were resetting Sunday night) and was able to score the Cosmos, so sorry about that.............but everything else was there as of 730am in case you were looking.

 

You are allowed to swear at me as I have done to all those who already found him, but after feeling like garbage all weekend, had a doctor appt this morning next to the dumpster that is the Methuen Walmart, but figured hey I am right here so I might as well stop in and...wow! I grabbed the lone Cosmos, but they had all the other deluxes and Voyager Hauler. Who decided the case contents...4 Blurrs?
