    So, is this definitely supposed to be a genderswapped Thor, or just some other person who happens to be worthy of Mjolnir? Because the article seems to be vague about it.

    In any case, I'm curious how long this will last until the status quo reasserts itself.

    The way I read it, Thor's done something (again) to make himself unworthy and this is some other person who is now worthy of the name and it's powers.

    Not that it really matters. It'll last a short while and then everything will go back to normal....

    You do realize in the original Norse mythology, Loki could gender swap himself all the time right? That's how he got pregnant...twice.

    Also what's really a problem here? A women can't be worthy of the power of Thor?

    My biggest fear was that the design would be some kind of 90s-esque T&A-fest. It's not, so I'm fine with this. I'm not going to start reading Thor because of it or anything, but I'm fine with it.

    I agree, it probably is fall out from Original Sin or Uncanny Avengers...and I thought it was also Angela, but according to newsarama, it isn't. I'll just wait and see. Things will go status quo when Avengers 2 is released. Just like Wolverine's "death."

    Guess, I'll stick with Daredevil, which has been consistently awesome.

    Someone at Marvel is confused. Thor can NOT be a woman. Thor is a man, plain and simple. Sif is a woman. Freya is a woman. Frigga is a woman. Thor has a dick, therefore Thor is NOT a woman. Sorry, but you can NOT just decide to change the gender of an actual god. Next they will be saying that Zeus is a woman.

    It's just a female character who is wielding Mjolnir, like storm, rogue and Wonder woman have done in various stories before - plus websites trying to hype up an 'event' that everyone knows will be reversed after a while.
