Newsarama | Marvel First Look: Kubert and Bradshaw's POINT ONE Covers Page 1

Marvel's posted new teasers for it's upcoming Point One event.

One cover shows the popular Marvel characters in their old classic costumes, the other a mix of old and new ones, looking like a real preview of things to come.

It looks like the Watcher along with Ultmate Hawkeye, 616 Spidey, a new Ultron, Doc Strange, Nova, a new Scarlet Spider (?) and a guy who strangely resembles DC's Azrael.

Marvel going to do an anti-DC and merge all of their universes?

Given that Jeph Loeb is supposedly at the helm of this thing, I shudder to think about what will happen to the Marvel Universe afterwards.

Sigh. They're trying to make Hawkeye look like he does in the Avengers movie, aren't they?

Maayyybbee :)  It's really too bad they decided to trash/maim/destroy the original Ultimates and its universe, that really was the closest thing they had to a movie Avengers comic.

    So apparently

    1. The Phoenix is back and destroying worlds.
    2. We're getting another return to the Age of Apocalypse focusing on a human vigilante team
    3. Kaine is the new Scarlet Spider
    4. Ultron will be ruling a future where the superheroes are in hiding and on the run as rebel groups ala Days of Future Past.
    5. A group of beings are seeking to undermine the Watcher and get his secrets.

I hope they make the Phoenix storyline interesting. Wonder what the connection to hope will be. Not really all that interested in the rest of the points. Bendis has really shown he cannot write big action stories or events, so not expecting big things out of the Ultron event despite Hitch's involvement. They end up sputtering badly with anti climactic endings. The Watcher subplot has potential though.
