Like I'm someone who wants to movies and to stuff to exist in the same world but never really cross over... but the idea of Tony, Blackbolt, t'chall, and strange doing illuminate stuff is just... it needs to happen
Bleeding cool has been predicting the death of the inhumans movie since the Feige/Permutter fight over control of the movieverse that Permutter lost. Permutter wanted the inhumans as X-men replacements. Feige was never really a fan. NYCC '15: Inhumans Movie Cancelled By Marvel As Film Goes To War With TV? - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movie, TV News
Now the question is Will Agents of SHIELD be ending to make room for this, or will ABC be open to have 2 Marvel shows running at the same time like CW does, as this will air around the usual Fall date for SHIELD.
Oh well. Better for the Royal Family to get an live incarnation on TV then nothing at all. This could lead to a crossover with Agents of SHIELD though...
I just realized that now... That would suck for SHIELD to get cancelled in order to make room for this. And the show's found its footing too.
Here's another thing we don't know if its a limited series or mini-series all we know is fall 2017. Their has been no announcement for the cast or crew let alone the budget per episode. If the studio is serious about doing a series centered around The Royal Family and the citizens of Attilan that I would expect that the overall season budget would be north of what the overall cost for season 1 of Westworld ended up being.
I would love it if both this and SHIELD could air together. CBS has three NCIS shows on the same channel, but only two air on the same night unfortunately (since the only one that doesn't air on Tuesday is my favorite of the three).
It might be Agent Carter was. It airs in the same time as SHIELD but SHIELD on a break. Although it looks like it starts in Sept so SHIELD might not start until Inhumans has totally aired. I don't think ABC wants to air multiple superhero shows a week.
You know, keeping Agents of SHIELD would be a good idea for ABC since it could allow for a crossover down the road. Plus, SHIELD could (if done right) be used to set up this show through a sort of backdoor pilot.
