Sorta off-topic, but just need a quick answer. Have they put out MZ as a TPB yet?

The Marvel Zombies hardcover is in it's 3rd printing....

Also, nowhere in that issue did it state they were deadites, Spiderman even asked if the Zombies were deadites and Ash says they aren't like any deadites he's ever fought.... Also last I checked Deadites were evil but NOT consumed by hunger for flesh.... These MZ's are not ED/AOD Deadites.

EDIT: left out an important word for my post to even make sense

I kinda took the Deadite Granny rant more as "You don't get any peace Bruce Campbell, SOMETHING WILL GO WROOOONG". Figured it left the thing open-ended for now.

So there is a Marvel Zombies HC collection for those of us who had the misfortune to miss out on it?? What about Civil War.

No I don't live under a rock, there just isn't a good comic shop near here that I can get to before everything good is sold out.

Yep, there are several printings of MZ in hardcover. :D  Civil War has "The Road to Civil War" and I think "Civil War: New Avengers" out so far.

Well, I'm sure we'll find out within the next couple issues if they are or not. Personally I think they will be. Considering the way they're doing this particular crossover. Marvel Zombies get to be part of the AoD comic. What else could Marvel get from this, except for them to be deadites.

Also, Black Widow eatin a poodle, FTW!

Man if it was a Cat could be a good joke there but no. Unless wanna make french joke.

I wait to see #2 (and this preview) I just have a feeling we will see Mary Jane and Aunt May as Spidey-snacks. (have a bad feeling could be a tear jerker Parker fighting it and MJ tells him to go ahead in some way)

Um they get a crossover out of it.... this is actually in continuity with the Previous series and the upcoming one shot.... They are Zombies not Deadites, once again Deadites generally do NOT crave flesh, they crave souls for the Necronomicon.

Maybe I'm kinda picky, but this issue just didn't do anything for me. I'm still stickin with the series- but I definately hope it picks up a bit in the second issue. It's just...hmn... kinda boring? But that's just my opinion. Still a good comic, I just felt it lacking a bit.

Great stuff. Keep those awesome covers coming. I like the somewhat cleaner interior art as well (compared to the O.G. MZ series).

I enjoyed it. I went back and read the AOD #13 then this and then read up on the Ultimate FF issues 22-24 and then 30-32. I don't the Marvel Zombies are deadites.

!!! Spoilers (in case you haven't read UFF comics) !!!

According to UFF, Doom summoned some alien virus being using the Atlanteans lost books to inhabit Human Torch. It seemed mentioned that this was the cause of the Zombies because it searches out the strongest forces (i.e. Super Heroes) to infect.

I am really loving this Marvel Zombie stuff! Can't wait for the Zombies prequel.

EDIT: I really didn't understand the whole Sentry thing. Anyone got a clue? It seems he was the one who infected the parallel Marvel universe with the virus (deadite or alien?) but what the heck was he doing in Heaven (?). I take it that was the Angel St. Peter at the Pearly Gates?

    Nope, that's not the cause.
The Zombies virus came form another dimension and was brought to the one now inhabited by the Marvel Zombies by the Sentry.

It was explained in the second issue of UFF when the Zombies first turned up.

Yeah, but the sentry was in "another dimension" at the time he was infected; thus covering that issue.

And speaking of that crazy bastard, what the hell happened to him in the zombie universe? He's like invincible, yet somehow he' wasn't among the surviving zombies in the miniseries. Could he have possibly been defeated by the Void? I mean, if the Void counters Sentry's actions by doing the opposite, wouldn't the zombie virus/thing/whatever make him good?
