I still see no Deadpool. That was like half the reason I picked up Ultimate Alliance 1. Civil War was a base seems more an excuse not to include as many villains, too, though for a lot who dont have a rogue's gallery, or ones with too large of one, that may not be a bad thing. (I'm just peeved Carnage isn't in these games)

gotta be honest, the cutscenes look pretty lame in it this time around

they couldnt get blur studios again or?

i dunno. maybe its the "art style" but im not sure i like the different look.

but the first game was fun to play. and civil war sounds like a pretty fun/interesting storyline [tho what about the whole galactus coming for earth thing they kinda eluded to at the end of the first game?]

    *shrug*

    i dunno. whatever :p

i just feel kinda underwhelmed about it.
just kinda feels like they're trying to cash in on the whole civil war stuff and just abandoned any "original" ideas they may have had

    :\

tho i know i'll probly end up playin it

Looks terrible, typical Activision cash-in. Pass.

MUA1 looks way better than MUA2 IMO. Heck, MUA2's Iron Man looks kinda fake...

I agree with Deadpool this game does not even come close to MUA 1. I was hoping that the PS3 would have gotten the added characters that the 360 got. This looks like a pass for me but I will wait to see a review and list of characters in the game.

Looks like it's coming along just fine...but I'm tired of hero fighting hero. Where are all the bad guys? Fighting the Wrecking Crew in MUA1 was much more satisfying that battling heroes in MUA2.

I'll wait until this one goes down to a reasonable price before playing. The gameplay most probably will not differ much from the previous three games.

IGN Video: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 Xbox 360 Trailer - Deadpool Trailer
    :jawdropper:

I also hear the Thunderbolts will be playable in this game. All I really want to know is whether or not Osborn will have both his Goblin and Iron Patriot costumes available (preferably with a slightly different set of powers to use). I know that it's a Dark Reign reference and also two crossovers away from the Civil War story arc...but hey a guy can hope, lol.

I'm surprised at all the hate this game is already getting from some people on here considering they haven't even played it yet and that no really substantial gameplay footage has actually been released yet. Even this Deadpool footage (along with all the previous trailers) for all we know is just a bunch of slow motion close up designed to showcase the new fusion powers for trailer purposes.

I loved the Civil War crossover, I can't wait to see how Vicarious Visions worked this story into something interactive. Just knowing that you have to pick a side from the beginning (Captain America/Luke Cage and Iron Man/Mr. Fantastic are the only characters locked to a side) is already instant replay value (assuming the gameplay holds up as decent as the previous installment).

I don't have very high hopes for this game, but I may have to pick it up for Deadpool. It might help wash out some of the WeaponXI from my mouth.

Hopefully they don't follow the original storyline too closely and try for something remotely original.

    The cut scenes look bad.

Dunno if I'll pick this up.

I haven't finished the first game, but I have enjoyed what I have played.

I'm really puzzled though because this game looks like a visual step back from the original.
And so far, the only gameplay innovation I see is the power fusion.

And if this is based on Civil War do you get an Achievement for having Spider-man publically unmask and then have all the other characters forget they ever saw him do it?

I think it's understandable. After three games, nothing really changed for the series except controls. So, what is there to think anything really new for this game is gonna improve it. Like I said before, I'm gonna wait until this becomes a greatest hits. I have the other three games to replay until that happens (just replayed MA it just so happens). Don't get me wrong, they're fun games, but they're not $60 fun games.

And I know they're banking on all the Deadpool hype from the Wolverine movie, but Deadpool wasn't even a fun character to play in the last game.

The first one was pretty sloppy throughout. I have no doubt this won't be rectified. Also Activision. No sale.

Fair enough. Actually Deapool, IMO, was even less fun to play as in XML 2 so yeah very low expectations for the actual gameplay. I did think his fusions were sweet though, from what the trailer showed. No Raven Software development makes me concerned with gameplay, I'm not that big a fan of VV. Fuck it, not like I care either way, my roomate's buying this shit anyway just like the last game.

Activision may be run by Skrulls. Embrace Change.

I love these games. I will pick this up in a heartbeat. I'm not a big video game guy, but I'm looking forward to this, ghostbusters and TF2.

I wish they would do an X-Men Legends 3 still though. :)
