Back in the 80s Marvel released a 4 part mini series called Transformers Universe.

It was a profile book covering practically every character released up to 1986.

Marvel UK used shortened versions of the profiles for their A-Z profiles that appeared very irregularly in the G1 comic.

In the last year or so of Marvel UK, they printed profiles for later characters like Landmine, Fortress Maximus, Slapdash and Repugnus.

The thing is, none of those characters appeared in the Universe series. So I was wondering if anyone knows if those later profiles were original works by Marvel UK or was there a follow on to Universe with profiles for newer characters?

Those profiles started appearing as back-ups to the regular TF issues in the US. They went roughly through the 1988ish? toyline.
