Well, with rumors of a Marvel Reboot coming what changes should be made?

Spider Man: maybe Peter gets powers in Senior year or College, or deals with Mephisto null and void.....or they switch Peter's primary loves.....MJ being the one he failed to save, and Gwen being what keeps him grounded.

X Men: Original Team, not sure if Emma Frost included in any form, or her relationship with Cyclops

Avengers: I imagine they'll use the Movie roster/origins

    Fantastic Four: a tricky one

Punisher: I say bulk of history intact, though he's older, keep Ennis persona and how the police view him (such as they really don't make any moves against him)

This is of course speculation, they could easily just change their minds or it could just be the yearly rumor mill.....Marvel isn't in the position to reboot, as DC is still coming in Seperate and Image isn't much of a threat, I suppose if Valiant keeps on with their success......but until then, the whole thing is a giant mystery (of course, watch as next year they announce major changes)

The only "rumors" are the only ones that Rich Johnston is making up so that he can get people to visit his website.

If Marvel did reboot expect it to be more like Zero Hour than Crisis on infinite earths. It would basically be an excuse to streamline their continuity so it made more sense rather than a complete reboot.

Wait, wasn't Marvel Now their new 52 sort of thing? or was that a short-lived thing from the get-go? I don't know much about it, which is why I'm asking.

Anyways, I myself would be interested in seeing a soft reboot. Would certainly act as a nice jumping on point for people like me who are just starting to really get into comics. I wish I had been more supportive of DC's new 52 when it started.

People like to call it a reboot cause they're reboot happy right now, but it was just a new post-event direction in the Marvel universe (Dark Reign, Heroic Age, etc.) following AvX that was highlighted by all new #1's for the vast majority of their titles.

Basically, Marvel has learned the joys of relaunching with new #1s every two years or so to give that temporary boast back to sales.

The reason I bring it up is that there's a crossover where The Watcher is gone, and the time stream was broken from all those trips back and forth thru time/ Reality Altering (Days of Future Past, Dooms Time Platform, Age of Apocalypse, Onslaught, Heroes Reborn, Morgan Le Fey's Reality, House of M, Age of X, Age of Ultron, to say nothing of all the realities devoured by Marvel Zombies) it's a wonder the Universe hadn't collapsed yet

    No, reboots are not necessary.

I know a great way to get started with Marvel! Just start reading from the beginning. Y'know, the stuff written by Stan Lee and drawn by Kirby/Ditko/others. Best jumping on point you could have. Still really good stuff.

If Marvel rebooted chances are they'll end up with a clusterfuck of shit ideas, poor sales and a distinct lack of interest from me... basically just like DC comics!

Like Southdownkid said in the regular thread the only thing Marvel needs to legitimately reboot is the Ultimate Universe or like I said make a new Ultimate Universe.

The reboot rumors aren't revolving around the Original Sin crossover though, they are originating from the end of Kirkman's Avengers run.

Problem is, much like the beginnings of DC, that stuff can't be easy to get a hold of. That's also a looot of back-reading to do. There might be some stories/characters that would be worth it though, so it's something I might look into... maybe.
