I figure since let's face it, this figure exists more for Transformers collections than Marvel collections and it's an official Hasbro product it's worth a review. But if this needs to be moved, that's fine.

Overall, it's a chunky 6 inch scale figure with some nice looking but poorly executed accessories. Potentially worth the $40 ($39 on Amazon at the moment) if you love the character and can overlook the flaws.

All his accessories are made from soft plastic (rubber? I don't know). He comes with four hands (two fists, an open right hand, and a gripping left hand), three weapons (axe, mace, missile/blaster), and a shield-shaped weapon rack.

Yeah, so that's the first issue with the accessories. Unlike the 3.75 inch Marvel Universe figure from A decade or so back, the shield doesn't mount to his arm. Instead, it has a peg with another coming out of it at 90 degrees like an old Lego shield. In theory, one peg is for mounting to the back and the other is for holding. But has hands and forearm guards are so big, and the shield so tiny and the peg so close to it the options are... Limited. He can awkwardly hold the tiny shield loosely in front of him. It's very unnatural.

This is compounded by the fact that he only has one gripping hand. I'd gladly trade the right fist for another gripping hand. It means what poor shield wielding he can do can only be done in the left hand, and if he has the shield in use then the right hand is either a fist or swapped out. He can't hold anything plus the shield. It's an odd choice.

The rack at least mounts fine and holds the weapons well on his back, which is good because it's going to stay there for me. The weapons look good, though I miss the silver from the MU figure. The black weapons don't look nearly as nice to me. They're soft so I worry about getting them in and out of the hand sockets but it's been pretty breezy so far.

The cape/shoulder armor replicates an issue I had with the MU figure: the assembly is only attached in the back thus the shoulder and everything are completely free-floating in the front. Trying to, say, hold an arm straight forward will move both shoulder pauldrons up. I remember I wound up super gluing this on my MU version, if I keep this, I'll do the same here.

He's tall and chunky. If Hasbro can say a completely reused Spider-Man mold with a single web-line is worth $25, then I can believe this guy is worth $40. He scales well with a variety of Transformers.

Other users have said he looks more like someone made a figure based on how they remember Death's Head rather than modeling him directly from the comics. To be honest, I haven't read a thing with DH other than what's on TFWiki. I just find the character incredibly charming and the figure absolutely captures that. It just carries a bunch of unforced errors that make it worth noting.

EDIT: Added some pics, including a motley crew of random figures I had on-hand.

Might as well add him to my birthday/holiday wishlist while I’m at it since I’ve been one of the people on here who’s wanted him the MOST

Im a big fan of the comics, and i was really surprised they put this much effort into him. He looks real good. Not exactly how I remember him, but thise issues are faaaar back in my memory. And honestly, some of that art was..different. its a pretty good take on him.

$40? I habe to pass for that price though. Not that he isn't worth it. Just not to me.

He's missing three things from his Marvel uk transformers appearance.

    1 his trademark green coat

2 his rifle which caused a lot of damage.

3 his small gun that could replace a hand. Used to kill shockwave

As for size he's perfect and scales well with galvatron. He's just not Marvel transformers deaths head.

i picked him up on amazon while intoxicated last night, got him today and he immediately went up with straxus, jhiaxus, xaaron and flame to my "old comic guys whose designs i love, have never read, and found their characters so fun that i made them major NPCs in my dnd game" shelf, joining tarn, vos, kaon, thundertron and my second kingdom cyclonus that i cut the ear off of lol. love it

Buying shit while drunk. I do that all the time. I'm getting drunk tomorrow so I'll probably end up ordering him.
