So I like to do the one-offs and the odd piece here and there. This is one I've wanted to do for a while. I loved the Marvel comics growing up and still do. This monstrosity of a fusion between Megatron and Ratchet made its appearance near the end of the run in issue #70: "The Pri¢e of Life". I took a Seige Megs and grafted parts and styrene onto him. .... I got to saw their faces in half.... heh... I wanted to do this one in comic colors - for obvious reasons - where Megatron's silver is done as white. I custom mixed a very pale gray with metal medium and gave him some panel lining to make it look different from Ratchet's body parts. I printed out the comic cover on vinyl and mounted it to dibond. The base is 1" thick PVC i had lying around wrapped in Metal Planet Displays purple shelf floor vinyl. A rotating riser to simulate the pad this... thing first appears on in the book was made from a dvd spindle base, some stereo wire and a child's toy plate. The sign was printed and mounted on clear lexan.
