Here's a portrait of Marilyn Monroe I did recently for a Christmas gift for my ex girlfriend. I had to get it done, framed, and sent away by 5 PM Dec. 21st. I planned to do it in charcoal, and thought to myself I always work very fast in that medium so I started around 1 PM Dec. 21st. Haha. Procrastination at it's finest. It was around 10X13 and so it was around 4 PM and I was still trying to finish up. This means the shading ended up rushed and makes some of it, particularly the chest, look a little off. I realize that, but otherwise I'm sort of proud of it. I never heard back from my ex whether or not she even got the damn thing but oh well. Here it is for you guys to critique or whatever. It's the only piece I even did last year. I really fell off the wagon as far as drawing goes but I'm trying to get back into it. Thanks for your time.
That's beautiful work, man. By the way, how are things shakin' in Macon? I used to go to school there.
Thanks you two. Macon is boring. I'm moving away for college in a few months, so hopefully that'll be good for me. I still don't know if my ex got the drawing or not.
Thanks! Zero Prime the shading is wonky actually, I didn't blend well enough, but I appreciate it. My ex DID get the picture and liked it so I'm happy! That's all I wanted.
