Teostra! I've been wanting to do this custom every since I saw this figure. With a ton of lego pieces, made him into a full blown manticore and viking god of rage. Can wield six swords at once, articulated wings and stinger. Going to mod his beast shoulders for more articulation and probably replace wing joints with grey to better fit and sword match. I wish the wings folded into good looking canons, but the swords make such good wings I don't want to swap them out.
OMG... it's Gilgamesh, TF edition. ...kinda want to see someone go and digibash this now... or go ahead and make a TFxFF crossover figure. What specific lego sets did you use for the Stinger and Wings? Are they modded (as in you cut some holes) or do they just all attach in existing ports?
Looks more like the XIII 2 version. I was thinking Seravee gundam, but Gilgamesh is cooler. Also, the lego pieces were almost all modded. You can get bulk pieces at bricklink.
Indeed... Just need a new face, repaint the Voyager's horns, and maybe a few other splashes of paint and... ...I also kind of want this toy now. Piqued my interest, to say the least. Hehe.
I noticed that you usede a lot of LEGO Parts... You could repaint them to give it a better look overall
Are you going to add a snake and goat head? Also, why not just repaint the whole thing and pop a different head on it and make it a new character? Such a great mod deserves it!
And many cases the face of a human. A few years back, I was gonna make a Manticore from a spare BW II LioConvoy but I couldn't decide how to attach the wings...
That's right. However, a Manticore usually has the head of an old, ugly man. Are you going to mod the lion face, then?
The original manticore was a red lion with an old man face, no wings, and a barbed tail. The popular variation is a winged lion with a scorpion tail. That's the one I like. Also, I wanted to pay homage to Monster Hunter's Teostra. Yeah, I was hoping the translucent orange would match better. I'll probably have to paint some neon orange highlights on those pieces to blend better. Also, I'm planning on replacing the wings with dark grey parts. Thanks for the love everyone, I'm glad some of you are as into this design as I am.
Oh, right. I had no idea it was a reference to that game. I thought the "Testorosa", or whatever you were saying, was just a foreign word or something. Carry on...
