Thanks for the kind words guys! :)

I didn't repaint the truck parts, just did the pinstripes on the flames and added a whole lot of clear coat. :)  I would've liked to have repainted the truck, though. I'll save stuff like that for when I have an airbrush.

Beautiful job man, looks like he jumped straight from the screen. Hope you had fun painting the gears behind his windshields.

He's one of those figs where after you get started , you're almost like Oh God, what have I gotten myself into??" :lol
So many folding areas with detailst out he kazoo. It's the places you can't see that have the most it seems.

Thanks man! I used "burning platinum" colored automotive paint from a (Spanish, I think) brand called DoIt. Sprayed it over a black basecoat.

    Glad you like it! Thanks!

I didn't really paint in them. Didn't like how the alt mode looked with gears behind the windshield so I opted to paint in the windshield with a dark tint.

I totally agree with that - this figure was such a pain to mask and prep for painting, and then there are so many different molded details.

But that's also what makes the figure fun to paint. It makes you so proud (and relieved) after you finish :)

I'd just like to say again that you've really been doing a nice job with these movie toys, and it seems that you've found your niche. This guy looks great. Keep up the stellar work, bud :thumb

Thanks Allen! Yeah I just love how the movie toys have so much detail in them - and there's just so much stuff to do to make them look more 'real'. :)

Thanks man. I hope to somehow be able to do a group shot of all the ROTF autobots soon. :)  Workin' on Jetfire now.

Hi Mampy! I just bought my Buster Prime its near perfection so I am gonna some subtle touch ups, I have some questions:

1.) did you put tint or painted the windshields on prime's chest?
2.) I already saw tutorial re removable swords, what on earth ba talaga ang earth magnets?
3.) as for the hands any ideas where can I get articulation hand other than TFTM prime ( i dont want to salvage him) and 1/60 Gundam (too expensive to get)

Alright dude thanks and more power!

very nice! love the group shot! one question though, regarding the swords, what did you do with the arms after removal of the swords, did you fill the hole where they were or did you leave it open? and do you have any pics of the spot?

1.) I painted them with Mr. Hobby smoke acrylic. It's a clear black paint that in theory was supposed to subtly tint the windshields. Didn't work as well as I'd hope though because they turned out too dark.
2.) Err.. They're 'rare earth magnets', not 'earth magnets'. :p  Search for them in Google or Ebay.
3.) No idea what else you can use. If you're on a really tight budget, you might wanna try looking for the KO/bootleg TFTM Prime to salvage for parts. There might still be some at Divisoria or Greenhills.

I hope that helps. Good luck with your project!

Thanks man! As for the swords, check out the tutorial that I made here.

    Thank you, thank you. :)

Hey man. I've only ever seen 1/100 and 1/144 scale KO gundams, but you never know.

Nice job!!! I have one question: How did you attach the swords? Because I'm trying to customize the attachment of the swords on my ROTF Prime.

    Looks like he used magnets...
If you look closely at the pics of the swords, you can see them...
